Tom Bennett of Citg & Estate is extraordinary! He worked with us to remove overgrown and unhealthy foundation plantings, crumbling railroad ties and dead grass, designing a spectacularly beautiful front landscape for my home. He suggested minor changes to our unground sprinkler system (and had his team perform the work) and improved my property on a shoestring budget late last summer. We hired him to work on our lawn for the end of the season, and when we under-watered and killed two of the new plants he replaced them as part of our service. Friends I hadn’t spoken with in years emailed to say how great my house looked as they drove by!

This year, we contracted for regular lawn/planting bed care. The entire team is so friendly, and takes real care in maintaining my property. We have been so pleased! The lawn hasn’t looked this beautiful in 15 years – and our new plantings look so lovely! He contacted me this week to tell me that the work this year thus far was under the budget plan we’re on – so I could have a refund, or we could do a few additional enhancements I’d asked about. Who else would do that?!

Tom is an amazing designer, and heads a professional team dedicated to lawn and garden beauty and health. There’s a reason his trucks are seen all overOak Hill and the east side.

Tom Bennet, his company, and every single one of his employees are the most ethical, professional, reasonably priced, above-board, easy-to-work with, honest, and excellent group I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. Tom is extremely knowledgeable about everything from Horticulture to how perfectly to grade a hardscape with plant beds and he and his crew did such a tremendous job and the results are so stunning that I have family members and friends from all over the country clamoring to visit just to have a nice time in my new little oasis of green and stone on the East Side. His company has also been servicing my Condo Association since 2009 and doing it perfectly. I cannot recommend him and his team highly enough. His billing, pricing, and way of presenting them is so clear as to be a model for others. On top of that (!) he has begun a winter snow removal service that is as pure and perfect as the snow is white. You wake up in the morning and whisk!–the snow is gone from your driveway, your cars (!!), your sidewalk. Hire this company immediately!

Description of work:
Irrigation system repaired and, where necessary, replaced. New irrigation lines run with new heads. Completely new backyard with hardscape and plantings extending to side of house. Work on front on house grass and plantings and beds.

We built a home in Providence and Tom and his staff did the landscape which included large beds throughout the property, and a bluestone patio. This was done in two phases. One of which included modification of a catch basin and addition of an overflow tank as we were having drainage issues around the patio. Tom chose plantings that not only look great, but thrive in the areas in which they were planted. These guys are reliable and know how to treat problem areas as they arise. City and Estate a Gardener have been working for us for 10 years now and we would not have been able to cope with our half acre without them. They have successfully transplanted many trees and shrubs over the years. After a big renovation project to our house, they reconstructed all the landscaping putting in a drainage system and all new plants. Tom is well qualified in horticulture and is able to advise us on what plants grow well in our area. He and his crew are very professional and reliable. In the 10 years that they have worked for us, they have never let us down. Our yard looks amazing because of the dedication of City and Estate Gardener. I would highly recommend them! In the winter, we rely on them for snow removal as well.
