I was contacted by Maxalea regarding some spring yard maintenance. I’ve been aware of their special reputation, but was unaware that their pricing was going to be reasonable. I figured I would give them an “audition” with some maintenance, and see how they preform. My account manager turned out to be very knowledgeable, and professional. I discussed having them do a full yard design, which we are phasing, and I’ve be pleased with. It’s still a work in progress, and so far so good. I am an architect, and I look forward to working towards our finished project.

I hired Maxalea to maintain our property (lawn, shrubs, plantings, and irrigation system). This is a very professionally-run company. They provide clear estimates, alert us to when work will be done (e.g., seasonal pruning, leaf raking, plantings), and the work is done on time and properly. Plants are treated for pests only when needed, not on an artificial schedule as we had with a prior firm. Now we have all ground maintenance other than large tree work done by one firm rather than the three as we had in the past. Thus, work is nicely coordinated. For example, the experts on plants can alert the irrigation person to make needed adjustments and can alert the pest control group of any needs there. We have healthier plants overall with less water use and much-reduced pest control. We are now getting the very best care of our property. We pay more than before, but our plants are much healthier, and thus, in the long run, we will greatly reduce the need to replace plants. The staff is respectful and responsive to any questions we might have. I highly recommend Maxalea. This review is not for any one project as Maxalea has done many special planting projects over time for us. The date below is our season start date for this year and the cost range is for a whole year of maintenance, lawn cutting, irrigation checks, leaf removal, pruning, and supplemental planting to fill out the look we want to achieve.

We had some serious problems with our lawn not growing. Maxalea came in, figured out the issues, and went to work. They told us it would take a couple of years, and it did. Today, we have a truly lush, green lawn. In addition to the lawn treatment, they installed an irrigation system which has made all the difference. We use them now for all our landscaping and planting projects from seasonal flowers, to trees, and window boxes. Always reliable, always keep an eye on issues that arrive. We also use them for an annual maintenance. They come about once a month and do what ever is needed at that time of the year.

Maxalea keeps our property in pristine condition. The office informs us about pending visits and the crews are always respectful and responsive to ad hoc requests. Following sever storms the team clears up the debris from fallen tree limbs almost immediately. The team regularly inspects our property to make suggestions about treatments and/or landscaping ideas. Work well with other service providers such as our builder.

We’ve been using Maxalea at our home for about four years and the service is absolutely spectacular. In addition to individual projects, Chad introduced us to the wonderful Maxalea lawn maintenance program which you can customize according to your needs. Services include routine bed maintenance, mulching, trimming and winter pruning as well as lawn cutting/edging and fertilization. You pick what you want done for the year and pay for it on a convenient monthly schedule.

Maxalea designed and installed a beautiful and timeless landscape for my traditional style home over 15 years ago and have been taking great care of my landscaping ever since. Maxalea also designed the pool, waterfall, patio, and the outdoor lighting. The people at Maxalea are professional, talented, honest, polite, and very easy to work with.. I would give them six stars if I could.

Wow!. Our recently finished porch, bluestone walkway with brick border, and brick edging to our driveway is amazing. Maxalea worked with us to fully understand desires and get our inputs, and then designed and installed exactly what we envisioned. They even made sure to find and match the 30 year-old brick on our house for the porch. Individuals walking through our neighborhood continually stop to tell us how beautiful it is, and some have asked who was the contractor so they can contact them directly for their hardscaping needs. Top quality, service, materials, and finished product. Again, wow!

We have worked with Maxalea off and on over 30 years. Two years ago we turned again to Maxalea to do all of our landscaping and maintenance. We did get other estimates and plans first and the costs were all comparable, but we felt much more comfortable knowing Maxalea’s service level and reputation. Within the first six months, we had major cleanup and replanting and a drain installed that solved years of drainage issues. We have since had more plantings and are on a yearly contract with Maxalea to do our mowing, monthly maintenance, plantings, etc. They just rebuilt and stabilized a paver wall and terrace that a previous landscaper built incorrectly. We always know when they are coming to do work and they show up on time, do the work, and the yard is spotless when they leave. If I email a request I get a response in minutes, even if our contact is on vacation! They are a professional organization that makes one feel like their only customer. Our neighbors are always commenting on how lovely our property looks. They are a top notch organization!
