Brian Knisley of Cedar Creek was our contractor for a substantial patio project that was beset with difficulties due to bad weather and a complicated sloping site. Through all of the frustrations (none of them his fault), he was unfailingly cheerful and a pleasure to work with. He always responded immediately to our emails and texts, addressing promptly any concerns that arose. His integrity and standards of workmanship are excellent. One time he was unhappy with how the grout between the bluestone had set – though we didn’t notice any problem – so he had it removed and redone. His employees were always pleasant and professional and cleaned up the jobsite every evening. We would definitely recommend him.

We contacted Brian to help us figure out how to replace our back yard patio. We had an odd shaped, multi-leveled old patio and knew we wanted something new – but didn’t know what. As a real estate developer, I have extensive experience with construction and contractors. Cedar Creek built two patios for us using natural-cleft bluestone. The attention to detail and craftsmanship their team applied to our project was superb. They did an excellent job turning an old deck into a beautiful stone patio and replacing old stone on our front porch and adding a stone facade to the front of our house. We were so pleased with their work that we hired them to redesign our entire landscaping.

We love this company! Initially we had won a mulching job at a fundraiser at our daughters preschool that the owner had generously donated. Brian and his team did such beautiful work that we have since hired them for several other jobs at our home! They are so easy to work, pay amazing attention to detail, and are fairly priced. Cedar Creek did excavation foundation and stone work on a remodeling and extension to the entrance of our home. We were impressed by their stonework and asked for a proposal for a new walkway and stairs from the driveway up to the front of our expanded entrance.
The owner responded with two very pleasing aesthetic designs and several material choices. After comparing his proposals to another proposal we accepted his offer immediately as the design was superior, the drawings and conceptuals more appealing and the materials and costs better than competing bidder.
The construction of the stone walls and stairs were dependent on the completion of our remodeling project and, as that completed only after Thanksgiving, work on the Cedar Creek installations could only begin with the threat of a hard freeze stopping the project before the Christmas holidays and we wanted the work done so as to entertain at year end. Cedar Creek responded by increasing the crew size and working Saturdays around several heavy rains and a snowstorm. The work entailed installing an entire new underground drainage system for the house. We signed a contract for a stone patio and pathways on the back of the house to complement the stonework and landscaping contracted for the front. The stone workers were true artisan’s and were both efficient and exacting. They worked around weather and a couple short freezes and managed to complete the project two days early and ahead of the hard freeze in late December.
Cedar Creek exceeded our expectations in every regard: they worked with us to get a plan that perfectly fit our requirements and taste. They prepared drawings and material options for discussion and clear expectations. The owner was frequently on site and was in touch daily to ask about our satisfaction with every aspect of what was being done. The work was top quality and the workers polite and tidy cleaning up each night. Most important, they had our entrance ready for the holidays and they got the work done on time and on budget.
We have just signed a new contract for additional plantings and maintenance of our beds for the spring/summer of 2017. We were very happy to have found Cedar Creek Landscapers. They have already enhanced the appearance of our home and constructed a lovely entrance to bring our guests to our door. Great job!
