I have know Susan, for more then 5 years and work with her on her Mansion in May project in the Past. I found her designs to be creative. She has also worked with several members of a local networking group which we are both members, and all the members she worked with speak very highly of both her design skills, as well as the installation. of both the plants and the hardscape.

We hired Susan at Sterling Horticultural Services to design a plan for our front and backyards of the new house we have just moved into. We hired Susan to revamp our gardens before our daughter’s wedding. She planned the garden so that the plants were all in perfect bloom. Her attention to detail was so appreciated. I first met Marc, the owner of Sterling Horticultural Services, when I attended a free workshop he hosted at our community Library. So impressed by his presentation, knowledge, and genuine desire to help each and every attendee, I decided to schedule a garden coaching session at my home. Not only did the garden coaching session include Marc’s abundant knowledge , it was a hands on approach as Marc taught me how to correctly prune my foundation bushes. This coaching session included a written synopsis of his visit and a follow-up visit to evaluate the pruning project and answer any further questions. When Hurricane Sandy reduced my woodland property to an area suitable for a baseball diamond, I did not hesitate to call Sterling back to prepare a Landscape Design for this devastated portion of my property. Susan Olinger, the Landscape/Garden designer, worked with me to prepare a new garden design. The process included a site analysis, in depth conversations to understand my garden preferences and a final design presentation. Susan’s abundant knowledge and design expertise produced garden designs we are thrilled with. The design included drawings of the project, color photos of each plant specimen that will be used and a thorough review of the exact work to be provided. We are excited to see the arrival of Spring as work will begin in April!!!!!!

My husband and I have used Sterling for 15+ years. Full lawn services and landscaping. Over several years, Sterling (Susan) has redone the landscaping of our front, side, deck and partial back bed. And this Spring, Susan will do another part of our back bed. Susan does excellent design and installation work. Sterling’s prices are reasonable and they are very reliable. The lawn and garden maintenance people come every week and the landscaping projects are always done on time and on budget. My husband and I are very picky people and we have fired multiple lawn services. But we have been with Sterling for 15 years and are thrilled with their work. I highly recommend them!

Susan helped design the entire landscape for the front of my house. It is a very comprehensive plan and fully descriptive as to what we will be having done. It was presented beautifully with detailed drawings and pictures of the planting materials. This is a great visual, which helps in envisioning the final product.
