Not supposed to talk with them or change things up if there was an issue so I didn’t (Mike was my contact…I changed plaster color the day before the team arrived with no problem…and glad I did).

We recently had our 20 year old pool re-plastered by Petri pools. We went from a white plaster pool to a pebble look and it is gorgeous. The team they sent out was very professional and cleaned up after their work. We had a graduation party planned and Mike ensured that the work was complete on time and to our liking. I loved being able to reach out to Mike directly via text to ask questions throughout the process where he responded almost instantly. Our experience was so good we have decided to have them perform our regular services, something we have never done in the 20 years of having a pool. If I had to do it all over I would you them again. I selected Petri Pools from 4 bids to remodel our pool after spending hours researching and interviewing companies. They were neither the cheapest nor the most expensive of the bids. Both Petri Pools and Mike Rakes did a great job! The work to our pool included re-plaster, new coping, upgrade to pool equipment and replacement of some broken equipment. Mike was very communicative and readily available. He kept me informed of the work itinerary for each day and responded quickly to my questions. As a project manager in my former life, I really appreciated the communication and attention to detail. Our pool had a couple of quirky designs that needed extra attention during the re-model. Mike came out with the masonry guys to make sure it was done to my satisfaction. I would absolutely recommend them.

Petri Pool and Mike Rakes did an outstanding job of renovating our 31 year old pool and spa. They installed Peerless Pebble plaster, gorgeous blue glass tile and travertine stone for the coping. The spa veneer was finished with a stacked ledger stone. The vast majority of the work was accomplished in two weeks with the crews working through one weekend to finish before the rains came. I would definitely recommend Petri Pools!

Our 18 yr. old pool was in need of some renovation and updating, so we began searching for reviews and recommendations in all the usual places (“Best of”, Better Business Bureau, etc.). The one business that kept showing up consistently was Petri Pools, so that’s who we chose. Mike Rakes handled our project from his helpful recommendations during the initial contact and material selections, through all the steps of the remodel, and until it was finished and we were once again using the pool. Mike was always readily available, and kept us thoroughly informed at each step of the process. He helped rearrange the schedule when necessary due to weather, etc., in order to keep the project progressing without delay. The workmen were always on site promptly and did an amazing amount of work in a very short time. In short, we couldn’t be happier with the end result.

I had the pleasure of working with Petri Pools on a remodel of a very outdated pool at my house a few weeks ago. The scope of the work included removal of outdated chip block around pool edge, saw cutting the deck and installing new coping, new tile, re-plaster and all new pool equipment and new pad with the complete re-wiring of the new equipment. Justin and his team were thorough in helping with the design, exposing some challenging issues that none of the other pool companies caught and were very fairly priced. I had a total of 7 bids, narrowed the selection down to 3 and choosing Petri was a no brainer. They stand behind their work, completed the job on time and under budget (due to some creative ideas to reduce costs once the job started). Petri Pools is amazing. Jeff, our designer, was such a delight to work with and Justin, the owner, was amazing. We went with this company for their customer service and cannot be any happier with our decision. These guys made us feel like we were their only, if not their most important, customers. They built our pool and not only did they accommodate our requests, they tolerated all our complaints and issues with smiles. There was a specific subcontractor I was unhappy with but Petri did a real good job of taking care of my concerns. They even came back a number of times after we made final payment to make sure we were happy. I would recommend Petri in a heartbeat. They were great, plain and simple.

Happy Customer with lovely pool remodel! Petri pool’s just completed our pool remodel (re-plaster and tile replacement). The quote was very competitive; we had bids from 3 different companies. After a quick trip to their showroom, we discovered that they were able to provide a blue mini-pebble plaster at close to the same cost that the other bids came in at with a plain white plaster.

We worked with Mike Rakes; he is very professional and customer focused. He kept us in the loop with texts on what was going on throughout the project. All of the individuals that assisted with the remodel were polite and easy to work with — from the people in the showroom, to the laborers, to the individual that completed the chemical and finishing work.
