From our 1st meeting Jim’s attention to detail was spot on. I met a man who truly loved what he did. It wasn’t a sale from our perspective. It was about building a memory that would last us a lifetime. If he didnt share with me, I would have never known Jim had other projects going on the same time as mine. He was always avaible for question, ideas, and changes even down to the last minute. Jim spent countless hours designing our beautiful pool and backyard. We had a very strict budget and Jim worked very hard keeping us on track. He was here for every major part if the project. I would reccomend Jim over and over. Our pool is amazing. After extensive searching I hired Jim Chandler to manage my pool project. To date we have completed the design phase. Jim developed three detailed computer design choices that matched our project requests. Jim provided valuable suggestions and discussed the pros and cons of each design. Jim is a professional contractor and responds to questions quickly and effectively. I feel very comfortable having Jim mange our project.

Jim Chandler was the perfect choice for us. He is not your run of the mill “custom pool” company. He is a pool designer first and a very competent and knowledgable builder once the design is finished. Jim gave us personal attention from the start listening to our ideas and wants and explaining options and making revisions to his design until he achieved a design that met our wishes to a tee. His construction team was professional, timely and built a high quality pool. Jim was responsive and friendly to the end. This is a long overdue review. I do not want my procrastination to diminish the satisfaction that we had with working with Jim Chandler. When we purchased our retirement home we wanted to build a pool that we had been wanting for years. We researched various pool building companies for over a year and we reached out to several in order to make our decision. Without a doubt Jim Chandler Pools was the most responsive. When he responded by phone to our initial inquiry you could tell that he was actually interested in what we were looking for and not just a “sale”. He asked us a lot of questions and also gave us an overview of his process. He did not pressure us and gave us time to absorb all of the information and let us know he would be available should we decide to move forward with him. When Jim came to our home for a site visit he was so easy to talk to. He listened to what we were looking for in a pool and at the same time offered ideas from his years of experience. He gave us lots of ideas and options to think about. Our project was a complete renovation of our backyard and involved a number of different contractors. Jim made sure to coordinate with all of them. He advocated for us to make sure that our renovation and the pool met all of our expectations and that in the end it would be something that we would enjoy for years to come. He had assured us that he was hands on and would be with us every step of the way which was absolutely true. Jim would be on site for each step to ensure everything was done to his expectations. He paid attention to every detail. He was so responsive to any questions that we had. He kept us up to date with the progress and let us know what would be coming up and when. He was always available in case any modifications needed to be made. Additionally, all of the contractors he used were great. They were punctual and extremely professional. Covid impacted some of the construction but we continued to move forward if not at a little slower pace than originally anticipated at times. We absolutely love our pool and we couldn’t be any happier with the experience of working with Jim. We were anxious in the beginning because of the many “horror” stories we had heard from others with the contractors that they had worked with. None of that existed with Jim. We highly recommend Jim for both the pleasurable experience and the quality of the work.

This was our first pool, so we wanted to make sure we selected someone who is a good pool designer and builder. We spent many hours researching and carefully reviewed all the pool builders in our area. Many of the local pool companies had mixed reviews, even the pool company recommended by our builder had very mixed reviews. When I researched Jim Chandler Pools, all his reviews were all good, I even checked several different websites and those had good reviews too. Because of this we decided to give him a call to discuss our pool project and from the moment I spoke with Jim, I knew we had the right guy. He was easy to talk with and listened to what we were looking for in a pool, he gave us lots of ideas and options to think about before our first meeting. Jim went to our new home site to review the lot/backyard to ensure what we had discussed was going to work in our new backyard. Once we met in person to review the plans, he made recommendations in order to try to keep us in budget or as close to it as possible. When I called Jim’s references, everyone I spoke with highly recommended him, they enjoyed working with him, said he was very professional, kept them up to date with the progress, and completed the project on time and in budget.

During Jim’s first meeting with the City’s Planning department, he found out we had very expansive soil which is a problem when installing pools. Jim explained the extra costs when building a pool with expansive soil, it creates a lot of extra work during construction as well as a lot of extra cost to reinforce the pool and pool deck. To help cover the extra costs, Jim recommended some changes to our design in order to save money to help cover the unexpected costs as we did not budget for this type of problem. We were still over budget but some of it was the expansive soil and the rest were my fault . Jim would be on site for each step to ensure everything was done to his expectations. All the contractors Jim uses do great work, they are on time, very professional, and cleaned up after they completed their work. After working with Jim, I now know why the references I called spoke so highly him, he is a great contractor, stays on top of every detail, works closely with you during the whole process from start to end.

We just finished our pool, took longer because of soil issues and Covid but we made it. We are very happy with our new pool; and look forward too many years of enjoying the pool. We are very happy we choose Jim Chandler Pools; he really enjoys his job and it shows with the completed product. I am sure there are cheaper pool builders out there, but if you want it done right then I highly recommend Jim Chandler Pools.

Jim Chandler is a great pool builder! He and I sat at my picnic table while he designed my pool. He listened to what I wanted and designed a pool that has brought my family endless joy. He has a great group of sub contractors that he has long relationships with and they are excellent. My pool is 20 years old and has never needed replastered. My neighbors that used other pool builders have all had to replaster their pools. You would never be disappointed working with Jim Chandler Pools. A pool is one of the most expensive investments you can add to your home. Work with a builder with credibility and creativity. Jim Chandler is your guy!

Having a custom pool designed and created can be a daunting task but Jim Chandler made the experience a great pleasure. We received very courteous service with the professionalism one would expect. Extra effort was given to ensure that we received exactly what we wanted in our pool project throughout the entire process.
