I would advise anyone considering working with Kirby pools to reconsider their decision. Shawn Kirby has failed to complete our project after nearly 2 years. There are numerous components of our pool’s systems that were either installed improperly or not installed at all. Mr. Kirby is unwilling to even acknowledge any mistakes, let alone remedy them. He actively avoids making good on his commitments. His latest tactic to is avoid even picking up the phone. In short, he is not an honorable businessman in our experience. You have many options on the Peninsula. Avoid Kirby Pools at all costs.

Shawn and his team were the very best, most reliable, friendly, trustworthy contractors we’ve ever worked with. They showed up on time every day and kept us informed of progress and plans. They were extremely professional and respectful of our home and family. (We have two small children and they were regularly concerned about keeping the back yard safe for them during construction). We have been enjoying our pool and back patio/arbor now for over a year and feel good about the entire experience we had with Kirby’s Pools.

I will not recommend anyone hiring Kirby Pools for installing any new pools. They might have some experience fixing old pools but they don’t seem like they even know the process of getting a new pool permitted. We have been trying to work with Shawn Kirby for the last 8 months and they haven’t even been able to successfully submit the plans for permit. At first, they took a piece of paper and hand made drawing to the city which of course they rejected and asked for proper submission. Since then, they are just round and round in circles to be able to submit back to the city without any plans.

In addition to that, they have also taken our money but no action for last 8 months. Shawn doesn’t return calls – if you somehow get hold of him, says he will call back in few minutes and doesn’t do that.

Please save yourself some headache and find someone who knows how to get a new pool done.

Shawn Kirby and his team put my gorgeous pool in. They were wonderful to work with and provided great service. Shawn’s son, Ryan, continues to service our pool on a weekly basis and they quickly respond to any issues if needed. They are super helpful to ensure we can continue enjoying our pool! I’m really glad we chose to work with them due to the high level of prompt service they provide on an ongoing basis and the lovely pool design we ended up with.

Kirby’s Pools have done an excellent job resurfacing our pool. It was neglected by the previous owner. We met to discuss what needed to be done to bring the pool and equipment up to date. Shawn provided a proposal detailing all that needed to be done outlining the cost. He and his staff arrived on time and completed the job under the project date. I highly recommend Kirbys Pools for all your pool needs
