Mr. Nelson helped us fix up our pool that needed resurfacing, and also needed a new light that had been out for over a year. After contacting Bright Blue Pools, Mr. Nelson showed up, gave us an reasonable estimate, and did the work the following week, which took about 3 days. Our pool looks new, they even fixed a small leak in the skimmer, that could of ended up being a big problem for us later. We love our new colored pool light too!
Horrible! Contracted with Bright Blue to do replastering using pebble (exposed aggregate) finish. The resulting work is very patchy with the cement covering multiple large areas of the aggregate giving it the appearance of an old pool that needs replastering… not uniform at all and very ugly. After the work as the pool was being filled and Curtis was asking to be paid, he told me that the residue would brush right off after a couple of days under water. He sent someone out to brush, but it did not come off. His employee ended up leaving the property with a hose running for 4 days (i was out of town). i did not know until the water company called alerting me of excessive usage. After more prodding, they came back and drained the pool again ($$$) and did another acid wash and brushing. Also, prior to Bright Blue’s plastering, my pool never leaked a drop. Now it leaks about 4″ in a week. After dozens of unanswered calls and messages, i got my fiance to call on her phone… amazingly Curtis answered. Startled, he agreed to come out and see what he could do. He did send someone out, but no results. The pool still looks like crap, still leaks and Curtis again won’t respond to calls or texts. This was a $20,000 replaster job, and it’s a small pool, and it still looks like crap. Don’t be fooled by this company it’s Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde after he gets paid!
Bright Blue Pools is an awesome company to do business with. Curtis was extremely honest and professional, his knowledge of pool refinishing was outstanding. It took only two days to complete the renovation. They cleaned each tile with care and vacuumed the pool area so you could not tell they was ever there. Now that’s a business that truly cares. When I filled my pool the water was a beautiful blue and the tile work was magnificent. My friends was stunned by the tranquil beauty. I was a business man for forty three years and conducted my business with honesty and integrity, so I speak from my heart if you want a beautiful pool done by hard working honest people that truly cares then choose Bright Blue Pools for their the best and no one comes close. Don’t waste your time and hard working money on anyone else for there is none better than Bright Blue Pools ” Period”.
We would definitely NOT recommend Curtis Nelson and Bright Blue Pools. We used them to resurface and retile our residential pool In June of 2017. That September, just 3 months later, the tiles began to discolor. Upon contacting Mr. Nelson and providing pictures, he skirted the issue and suggested it was an issue with our pool maintenance company, but said to keep an eye on it. The tiles continued discoloring over the next few months, at which time we contacted Mr. Curtis Nelson again, who then falsely stated that he had recommended we not use the particular tiles we had chosen for our job. This was absolutely never stated by Bright Blue Pools. As a matter of fact, I personally asked Mr. Nelson if these tiles were acceptable for waterline tile before he began the installation, to which he agreed they were. The tile company we purchased the tile from confirmed they were appropriate for our waterline application as well, both before they were installed and after. The winter following the installation, I called Mr. Nelson one more time and he promptly hung up on me. Last June, at the 1 year post install date, I attempted to contact Mr. Curtis to ask him to make the job right and correct the incorrectly installed tile. We have never heard back from him. To say this company is dishonest is an understatement. Consumer beware!
I would highly recommend Curtis Nelson’s company — Bright Blue Pools — to anyone looking for a reputable and dependable pool re-surfacing company. Curtis’s crew is professional and operates like a well-oiled machine. Their efficiency is beyond words.
How fortunate we were that Bright Blue had an unexpected schedule opening and Curtis Nelson was incredibly accommodating to the point of changing what were fixed personnel allocations at 3PM in the afternoon on Tuesday to directing them to our pool by 5PM to start pumping out our 52,000 gallon community pool. 60 hours later, our pool was re-plastered with new tiles — every miniscule detail was accomplished – and the pool was already 2/3 refilled!!! It doesn’t get any better than that, y’all!
I would not recommend using this Company!
We had a very bad experience with the replaster of our pool. 1 1/2 yrs after Bright Blue Pool refinished our pool we started having issues with pitting, scaling, discoloration and cracking. Mr. Nelson tried to blame it on our pool maintenance company who we had used for 9 + yrs and never had the issues we are having since Bright Blue Pool resurfaced it. After many phones calls and 3 months later Mr. Nelson did repair the cracks although never addressed the other issues we were having. Less then 1 yr later the cracks reappeared. We contacted Mr. Nelson once again and during our polite phone conversation he blamed the cracks on our pool design ( first we ever heard this from Mr. Nelson) and he HUNG up the phone on me). Mr. Nelson was completely unprofessional the way he handled the situation. It has only been 4 yrs and we are now faced with expense of having our pool resurfaced again.
VERY DISAPPOINTED!
