Frank Firetti and the team at Blue Haven pools built us an amazing swimming pool and back yard oasis. We interviewed several companies and most of them were okay and for the most part pleasant, but Frank stood out above the rest he and his team went above and beyond with taking the time to advise us, especially to educate my wife and I as this is our first in-ground pool. There was a lot more to it than I thought. Salt water, heaters, design, additional features, etc.

It has turned out better than we had even imagined and the after the sales services has been nothing less than exceptional. I would highly recommend Blue Haven and Frank!

We had a great experience with Blue Haven. My husband started out the process studying pool installation etc. then we had quotes from two companies. Both were fairly close but we chose Blue Haven because of the design options and we had other friends with Blue Haven pools that referred us.

Our pool took ~ 7 1/2 -8 weeks to complete contract to opening and that was with 4th of July holiday and a few rain days in between. Our design allowed us to move the steps so they were more convenient to us and we added a sun deck in the deep end. We have a stacked stone front waterfall off the “jumping deck” and we added a small extension to hold a marble statue we had purchased many years before. We went with a salt water system. Its much less Chlorine and very gentle on the eyes. We chose not to add the heater at the time of installation but had it ready so we could add it in the spring. We chose a propane heater and it heats up the pool very quickly. We have had Blue Haven open and close our pool and everything has gone smoothly. The staff is very knowledgable and willing to help at any time. Over all we are very satisfied with our pool and have referred our friends to Blue Haven as well.

Blue Haven pools, and all of its employees and contractors were above and beyond professional during our pool construction. They listened to our ideas, but also shared their knowledge and experiences with us to make the most of our backyard pool. The entire building process was extremely exciting and became a family affair–and something to remember! It was so nice to be able to ask questions and know that they would be sincerely answered–the communication was great throughout the entire process.

If you are interested in having a bit of heaven and a beautiful paradise in your backyard, contact Blue Haven Pools &Spa!!! We contacted several pool companies and consulted with them for the best options and costs. Blue Haven was the only one that was the most knowledgeable and had the experience and expertise to design and plan a beautiful custom designed pool & spa with waterfall. One company told us we could only plan for a lap pool in the area we had and their quote was double the cost! Frank, JoAnn, and Tyler Firetti provide that personal touch and attention to detail that only a family owned and operated business can provide and will make sure everything is to your satisfaction. We are so thrilled with the quality and craftsmanship of our new oasis! It exceeded our expectations and our state of the art salt water pool and spa with the automated control, heater & remote controller is second to none! You will be amazed at the end result. Jamie McDowell was an absolute professional during our entire pool build project. Always pleasant and easy to work with. She expertly handled all aspects of the scheduling, and weathered some pretty difficult predicaments during the COVID 19 pandemic. From my perspective, Jamie is the glue holding the Blue Haven team together. She deserves a position of increased responsibility now.

It has been 7 months since signing the contract and the pool is still not completed. It’s a basic pool, nothing special or complicated. I was informed prior to signing, that the pool should take 3-4 month depending on the weather and permits. Weather has not been a major issue and permits took a few weeks.
Blue Haven seems to have an issue with limited resources, subcontractors working on multiple sits, causing, what seems to be a scheduling nightmare.
I relentlessly ask for dates, but am not able to get a solid answer. I’m still not sure when this project will be over.
I can’t comment on the “product” as it is not yet completed!!!

Blue Haven did an excellent job with our pool. The construction took a little longer due to some weather issues this past spring but the end result is beautiful. Blue Haven was very professional throughout the process and everyone from the guy who dug the hole to the folks who gave us the pool education were super nice and very helpful. The work was done with the highest quality and attention to detail and everything turned out as expected. We are really enjoying the pool so far and are looking forward to many years of fun.

BHP’s installed our 16×36 inground gunite pool in the spring of 2015. Frank, Tyler, and Scott (construction super at the time) were all very friendly and helpful during the process and all subs associated with the construction were extremely knowledgeable and considerate during what can be a very “tense” time (i.e. my entire yard pretty much became a moonscape). However, neither the pleasant sales experience nor the “hold my hand” construction period is the reason for my review. The real reason is the excellent customer service that followed the installation! Being a little OCD, I bugged these guys constantly asking newbie questions regarding maintaining my new oasis (even though BHP included one month of free water maintenance after construction). Frank, Tyler, or Scott were always quick to get me answers to all my anal questions, never once making me feel like I was being a pain in the butt. They even extended my free water maintenance period to cover the entire 2015 season.

Upon opening the pool for the 2016 season, I found the chlorinator was leaking and quickly called Tyler to investigate. Brian (the “new Scott”) was at the house first thing the next morning to remove the old chlorinator and install a new one. Most businesses these days put “warranty work” at the bottom of their schedule, but not these guys! Opened the pool this year back in late April, marking the start of our third season. Yesterday I got home from work and noticed the water was as smooth as glass…not a good sign for pool owners. Found that pump was not working and would make a horrible noise when I finally did get it to kick-on. Again, immediately called BHP and informed Linda of the problem. She was very pleasant to speak with and said she would get back to me regarding repairs. As it had been 2-years since Blue Haven completed construction and this was the height of the building season, I figured I would be put at the bottom of the “to do” list. Within 30 minutes (& after 5pm) Linda called back and said that someone would be out the next day to investigate. While she couldn’t give me an exact time, she said I didn’t need to be there and that they would call me at the office to give me the results. I was so happy that they actually responded so quickly that I completely forgot to discuss cost. Checked my warranty and discovered that only parts were covered between years 1 – 3 and that labor would be my responsibility. While not happy that a pump that should last 10 years or more was going to cost me money at the 2-year mark, I needed to get it fixed as algae growth doesn’t care whether or not I’m mad about paying labor for a new pump install. Got a call from Linda by 9:30 this morning telling me that indeed my pump was bad and had to be replaced. When voicing my concerns about algae growth, she quickly let me know that they had already replaced the old pump with a new one ($650 – $850 pump depending on where you get it). She also let me know that BHP was waiving the labor charge based on their feeling that, “your original pump should have lasted longer”. Shocked by this, I quickly passed along my appreciation for this decision to her and BHP’s.
Based on the warranty in my original contract, BHP could have easily charged me for the labor required to install the new pump but instead decided that my business and subsequent satisfaction was worth more to them than the few bucks they would have recieved…something that’s almost unheard of with respect to Customer Service these days!

For me BHP’s prices were extremely competitive with other major pool contractors in the area (we got 4 bids), construction process was smooth with knowledgable and dependable subs and good communication throughout, and most importantly…OUTSTANDING Customer Service!

hired to fix my coping over my spa cover – worse or same as was before before –

redid gunnite around spa cover and replaced pool cover.

hired dates march – july.

acid bathed my pool /spa = destroyed plaster in bottom of spa, waterfall and coping around spa.

i would not recommend.

which is sad because they have some decent subs – concrete, pool cover guy and tile guy seem pretty good. the main problem is the company didnt listen to me and wasnt honest with me. the owner ripped me a new one when i complained after 3 months that job was taking to long and then after 5months i had to remind him fix the coping which was the main reason i hired him. it certainly is understandable from their point of view that my pool was built incorrectly (not square ) and ( not level) and (all the other problems )and that it was a mess but let the person know that up front not 3 months into the project after youve destroyed everything and then forgotten what you have already done.
