After a long search to replace the saltillo tiles on our third floor deck outside the living room and kitchen, we found R. Moat Construction (also Expert Fountain Pond and Pool). The rain had been leaking from the deck into the second story. I could tell that Rick knew a lot about water and its habits. He described the problem and the process and informed us of the materials and, ultimately, the cost–which was substantially more reasonable than the other three estimates we’d gotten. Having done previous remodels and repairs, his estimate squared with our experience. Rick also noticed issues we hadn’t and repaired them as part of the estimate. Add to that his easy-to-get-along with personality, and his deep knowledge of construction, and you have a hit on your hands. Rick came every day, did much of the work himself — no crew traipsing through the house — unless he needed a hand. He cleaned up and left everything in tip top shape. I’m going to use him again when I need a great job.

Mr. Moat is the BEST pond expert in the State. He was more than professional and honest and came in under budget. He works neat and clean and was very organized. He never left my home a mess, which I appreciated. He has a delightful sense of humor and he was someone I could trust. His work ethic should be emulated by all. I would use him again (and plan to) and have recommended him to everyone I know. There is nothing he can’t do. He is very talented. I love showing off my pond, waterfall and landscaping to my friends and family. Thank you Moat Construction!
