After significant research to find a design/build landscape designer and contractor, an in-person meeting and multiple reference checks my wife and I engaged Eric Fenmore and his team to completely transform the courtyard and landscaping of our property in Corona del Mar.

The design phase was smoothly executed after our goals expectations were detailed. From start to finish the design phase lasted one month, including refinements. We signed off on the plans and then received a second quote from Garden Studio’s sister company, DIG Construction for execution of the project. We accepted the bid.

The project required more than a week of demolition in our courtyard to remove the existing 30-year old hardscape and landscaping. It also took several days to remove all the existing landscaping from the front of our home and parkway. The construction and installation phase took another (in total) another 8-weeks.

Throughout our project, Eric, his lead designer Chelsea Edmonton and construction foreman, Billy O’Hara were very responsive, easy to work with and were happy to make changes as the situation warranted. I will also vouch for the willingness of Eric and his team to correct any mistakes and resolve unanticipated issues.

We used Garden Stufio to design and build our front courtyard and to upgrade our backyard. They were creative, collaborative and enthusiastic and finished our project on budget and on time. When unanticipated problems arose, they were immediately addressed. We purchased a certificate for one landscape design by Garden Studio at a charity event. Some time had passed before we contacted Eric but there was no expiration date so we weren’t concerned. We contacted Eric and he asked me to send the drawings we had done of our yard. We hadn’t heard from him for over a couple of weeks. After several voicemails he finally responded via email to inform me that he was too busy and reneged on his offer.

Chris and Eric Fenmore were involved with our landscape design from the very beginning of the build of our new home in Newport Beach CA. We met with them early on and collaborated on a beautiful vision we saw for both our front and back yard.
