We had Tony and the Swan Pools crew install a pool over the summer of 2015, but wanted to wait a full year before writing the review to see how things settled.

In short, we couldn’t be more thrilled. The pool exceeded our expectations and the team’s craftsmanship is top notch. Tony was super helpful during during all phases of the project. He not only designed the pool, but the hardscaping as well, and help us determine where we should spend that extra bit vs what we we better off not including in the project.

I’ve worked with a lot of contractors since moving into our new home, and most result in delays, change orders and general frustration and I’m pleased that we didn’t encounter any of that with this job. The process did take quite a while, but it was all according the what the initial plan was and we remained on budget.

Perhaps the most impressive (and somewhat surprising) thing is Tony’s communication and general responsiveness. He answers his emails within hours and I don’t think I ever heard his voicemail. Contrast this where it can take forever to get ahold of a contractor, I was really pleased in how quickly Tony responded to my emails and answered all of my questions quickly and throughly. Best part, even though the job finished a year ago, he still answers all my questions quickly (I often send him questions regarding the equipment or maintenance).

We’ve since recommended him to a number of our friends who similarly are very happy with their pool.

We were very pleased with the work done by Swan Pools. Our pool was vintage 1950 and long overdue for repair and updating. We interviewed 5 pool companies and chose Swan because Tony Schwee seemed the most in tune with our needs and was the only one to insist we do the entire project with city permits, “to have someone checking his work and to give us the assurance that the work was done correctly”. Tony’s suggestions for the modernization of our pool were detailed and included information about upgrades we might want to consider. He answered all our questions and suggested places where we could see examples of various pool options. His bid price was fair.
Once the project began Sherry, in Tony’s office, was always helpful and made every effort to answer our questions and to schedule pool work or appointments at times that were convenient for us.
Ron Taylor, of Taylor Land and Stone, the landscaper who worked with Tony was a perfect fit for us. His incredible patience, knowledge and experience in landscaping as well as his positive working relationship with Tony pulled the pool and back yard projects together and produced an outcome that was far nicer than anything we had imagined.
Adam, Tony’s “right hand man” clearly knows his stuff and oversaw all key parts of the pool construction. He answered our many questions and always responded quickly to our email questions or requests. Tony, and sometimes Adam, presented the many pool equipment and finish options and explained which would or would not be the best in our situation. We never felt that Tony or Adam pushed for more than we needed and, now that the pool is finished, we love each of the recommended upgrades or changes.
We are very happy with the work done by Swan Pools and by Ron Taylor and are comfortable recommending them to others.

I rarely write reviews, but we’ve been dealing with the crew over at Swan Pools in South San Jose for almost 3 years now and have been very happy customers. They installed our new pool and spa and we’ve already spent two full summers enjoying both. I was already considering Swan since they are in our area, but was also referred to Tony (Manager) by my landscape contractor after he had his new pool/spa installed by Swan Pools. From the start, both Tony and Sherry were extremely easy to work with. This was our second time to install a new pool, so even though we knew mostly what we wanted they both had great suggestions. We got the works (salt system, deck jets, automatic cover, etc) and get a lot of use out of the pool and if there is ever an issue with the equipment or cover, they are always a great help. Everything is still running great and we are really looking forward to our 3rd summer with the pool. Thank you Tony and Sherry!

We just had our old pool re-done by Swan Pools and couldn’t be happier. Tony was fair in his estimate and his time line was right on. We added a hot tub inside the pool, a baja shelf for the kids, re-did all the tile and all the plumbing to switch over to a salt system. They also re-did the entire equipment pad as part of the project.

With so many moving pieces I was worried that problems would come up, and as they do in construction, some did. It is always the mark of a great contractor if those problems are dealt with quickly and without increases in budget. I was thrilled that Tony and his team took them all in stride, stayed on budget and on time. Truly an amazing feat in a large construction project like ours was.

I couldn’t be happier with the result and all the hard work done by Swan Pools. So happy that I made the decision to trust Swan with my pool restoration.

With no hesitation I will recommend Swan pools to anybody that asks.

We met with several companies for our backyard remodel and we are so excited to be moving forward with DQ and Swan Pools. From the start DQ has been excellent. He has really taken the time to get to know us and our family and use that information for our pool design. We had a good idea of what we thought our backyard redesign would look like. DQ’s design surpassed our vision and expectations. He not only gave us exactly what we wanted but much much more. All while making sure he is staying within our budget. DQ has been very thorough explaining the step by step process. I know we are in good hands with DQ and Swan Pools.

We were happy with our pool project and the project manager, Tim. While the design was simple there were challenges along the way such as having to remove a large cherry tree and seeming never ending rain. Tim’s communication was excellent as was his customer service. The price was fair; we had one other estimate and couldn’t get anyone else to come out for one. Love the pool!
