Catalina Pools did a great job of redesign and rebuilding a 65 foot waterfall that had 5 falls and ran 6500 gallons per hour. Additionally the design included a 11 foot, round salt water pool at the bottom of the falls. A separate system but designed to look like part of the water fall. A great place for grandkids to hang out in a play, but is also set up as a very large hot tub.

The old waterfall contained over 20 ton of stone and all was removed, reused and another 10 t0 12 ton of boulders added in the new design. The rebuilt waterfall has 5 falls and also runs around 6,000 gallons per hour and all is ran by pool pumps and filters, making maintenance much easier.

I am writing to comment on Catalina pool cleaning service and maintenance. They have cleaned and maintained my pool for over one year and I am very pleased. RJ McNett is always available to answer any questions I have about my pool and each service visit includes an itemized invoice of charges(never any hidden costs) and a photo of the pool after service is complete. I highly reccomend Catalina Pools because both Mr McNett and Mr. Cooper are excellent people to work with.

We had a number of pool companies come to give us ideas and estimates. Catalina was not the least expensive but they had the absolute best sketch. Curt and RJ were wonderful to work with. They built a beautiful pool for us and we’re very professional. The cost was exactly what we had agreed on and the scope of work was too. We had a bit of a problem several years after the pool was built and called them regarding what to do. They were down (we are about 2 hours away from them) within 2 days. They fixed the problem and did a thorough check of all the systems and made a couple of minor repairs. The cost was really reasonable. We have had questions about the operation of the pool over the years and they have talked me through several of those. I would recommend and hire them if we ever do another pool!

In late 2009, we hired Avalon Pools to build a pool in our back yard. It was one of the best home-ownership decisions we have ever made. Curt Cooper looked at our challenging, hilly, wooded lot and came up with a design that is both functional and beautiful. The pool and surrounding patio and stone walls are well-built and lovely. Everyone who enters our back yard comments on how pretty the pool and landscape design is. With Curt’s careful attention, we preserved mature trees and existing landscaping throughout the construction process so that the finished pool would blend perfectly into our yard and look like it has always been there.
We spoke to four other pool companies before choosing Avalon Pools for our project, and none of the other companies were willing to work with our back yard’s steep slope — they all suggested putting a very small pool on the one flat area of our yard that is within ten feet of the house. Curt looked at our lot and saw potential, identifying a way to work with the hill and lot contours by building two beautiful stone retaining walls as design features for a full-sized pool. Curt’s design didn’t settle for the “easy way” like the other pool companies’ designs did. Instead, he heard our desire to make full use of our large back yard, and he really gave our project the creative thought and study we were looking for. He thought of things we never would have thought of, and guided us to make great choices to create an outdoor recreation space and entertaining space that we enjoy all year long.
Curt and his crews were knowledgeable and great to work with while construction was underway, and even after the construction project was done, Avalon Pools has always been there for us when we have had questions. We highly recommend them.

Curt and his staff at Avalon pools created a wonderful pool and outdoor living space for our home.
