Ocean Blue Pools built a pool for us in the spring of 2013. I cannot say enough good things about Ocean Blue Pools as well as Mike and Lisa! It is our first pool, we did a lot of research and checked with a few other companies; but once we met Mike and Lisa we knew they were who we wanted to build us our dream pool. They were not pushy and really listened to what we wanted so that they could help design the perfect pool for our needs. They were involved throughout the entire process and made sure that every step was completed properly and up to their high standards. The other piece that you truly can’t put a price on is after the project was complete they are still available to answer questions. They always answer the phone or text messages and if there is a problem that we can’t figure out over the phone they have come back to show me what needs to be done.

Again, I give them they highest recommendation and couldn’t be happier!!!

This family run company was great to work with throughout the entire process. There was good communication with the builder at every stage and everyone was pleasant to work with. Baron spent a lot of time at our house answering our questions and asking us questions about what we wanted in our pool. He also answered tons of email questions from me while we were still in the bidding process. He was also the only pool builder that told us that getting a pool heater required getting a larger gas meter from the gas company and that the gas company charges $350 for one. He made us aware of all the costs involved so there were no surprise charges during construction. Some builders spent very little time with us. Lisa and Maddie took great care of us once construction got underway. They let us know when workers were coming and even helped us get our bigger gas meter for the pool heater when Centerpoint gas was dragging their feet. They also handled all the small changes and additions we made along the way. We added a step, an outlet, a light, decking, and even more decking. Ivan was our project manager and was awesome to work with. He checked on all the work being done. He was easy to talk to, answered my questions, and was always a text message away if I needed anything. If he felt something wasn’t done right he’d tell me and have the subs come back and fix it. It only happened once, but it showed me they really care about the quality of their product. Our pool is beautiful and we love it. This was our first time building a pool and Ocean Blue gave us an experience that exceeded our expectations. They are true professionals for sure. I would highly recommend them.

Ocean Blue Pools built a pool for us in 2015 for our new construction home in Fulshear, TX. After a few months, we started to see significant cracking and failure of the coping. This was after a number of the pool mechanical systems were not operating correctly and had to have interventions. One of which was the overflow line being obstructed with construction debris, resulting in our pool almost overflowing. (We had to set up 4 water hoses to siphon water out so that the pool didn’t flood our home.) We hired the same structural engineer who designed our home foundation to try to help us get a reasonable solution so that we could get the pool safe for our family. The repair the company did execute was not in line with recommendations of the structural engineer. The underlying root cause has been expansion and contraction of the soil under that pool/decking.

We have tried multiple times to work with the contractor to find an agreeable solution. The responses we have recieved from Ocean Blue vary from: “We are a for-profit company but we will have our contractors propose whatever you want done at COST for you, adding no profit.” to “the failure is an Act of God”.

I can not, in good faith, recommend this company to anyone in Houston who wants to build a pool. This experience has been and continues to be a nightmare for us, with a vendor who is looking for every way possible to not take accountability for their product.

We contacted 3 different pool companies when we were ready to build and gave each the exact same description of what we wanted on a tiny lot. One gave us a plan that had absolutely NOTHING on our wish list. The second gave us something that was close, but deviated on a couple of important requirements. Ocean Blue returned a plan that literally looked like what we had imagined in our heads. They gave us absolutely every thing we wanted and did a spectacular job executing the plan. Their use of every bit of useful yard was perfect, and the beautiful spa and waterfall are right outside our bedroom window where we can enjoy them. Everyone who sees the pool reacts with the same expression ….”WOW!!! It’s beautiful!” It is not only beautiful, but it also fulfills the requirement to make it easily accessible to mid 80 year old parents. We could not be happier with Ocean Blue. The team was responsive, friendly, timely… just a totally positive experience for our family. THANK YOU!!

Clear communication, worked with me on schedule, design changes, everything got finished the way they said it would be finished and any issues have been resolved.

Ocean Blue Pools installed our pool and jacuzzi. We couldn’t be happier with the end result. They were always available to answer any questions we had and from dig to finish was done in a timely manner. Would highly recommend.
