A Cut Above did an outstanding job on our project. From the initial appointment I knew they were the right company. I interviewed several companies…but A Cut Above didn’t “sugar coat” anything. They worked with me on design and told me what would work and what wouldn’t. Their bid was itemized and fair.
This is a family business. Once you get to know them, they will be part of your family as well. They are very involved in every step of the process. Cole (son) does the design and guided us through the design process and plans. Chris (owner) even digs the pool! Debbie (wife) kept us updated on the next steps and process. They continually checked on the progress of the project.
A Cut Above uses their own equipment and skilled labor. This is a HUGE benefit as you don’t have subs and people you don’t know working at your home. Their team respects your privacy and are professional and personable.
The project itself was large. They did: pool/spa, decking, patio cover, bbq island, fire pit, raised planters, and all of the front and rear landscaping.
We had some change orders…no problem. They made the changes and kept us informed of any changes in the timeline.
I have referred them to several people and will continue to do so. A Cut Above is truly a cut above the rest!

There are not enough nice words to say about A Cut Above Construction, Pools and Landscaping. Chris Young owns the company along with his delightful wife, Debbie. His two sons, Cole and Corey, help out as well. Chris is very much a hands-on manager. You see him almost every day, working, supervising and answering all your questions and discussing options. His crews are the most hard-working, polite and talented men we’ve ever encountered. Our landscaping – front and back, our pool, the design and hardscape are the talk of the neighborhood. In fact, several of our neighbors contracted his company to design and install their yards. He met with us to get our concepts, then brought us a virtual plan that really excited us. The result is fantastic! It was finished in the time promised and was clean and perfectly ready to enjoy. A Cut Above really is a cut above the rest!

After several interviews with different pool construction companies, we decided to go with A Cut Above and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. From start to finish, communication was constant. Everything was completed on time. They not only built our pool, they made our backyard dream a reality. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking into pool construction.
