Mr. Alford didn’t really do any work for us we called him on the recommendation of a neighbor for a drainage problem on the side of our home. We had received bids from three companies that ranged from $9,000 to 14,000 offering to install French drains or storm drains or regrade our back yard. Mr. Alford arrived and met our dog then he showed us photos of his. We went around to the problem area and I’m telling you he looked at the erosion along our foundation and then our gitters which looked to be in good shape. He asked us to borrow a stepladder then he climbed up and down, up and down, checking the pitch with an app on his phone. He climbed down and gave us the number of AAA gutter co. and told us to call them. At first we were hesitant but the gutter man showed us a diagram that explained what Mr. Alford had seen with his bare eyes. They replaced the gutters on the side of our home and front corner for $799.00 plus tax. Right now it’s pouring down rain and we have no erosion the water is draining perfectly and our foundation is safe. As a contractor Brent Alford is a dying breed he saved us thousands of dollars and didn’t take a dime himself just told us that AAA would fix us up. He’s A+++

Our landscaping was in need of a total refresh, as our last update was in the late 80s. We are not gardeners and were looking for someone who could design, select appropriate plants, and recommend appropriate solutions for the heavily shaded, bare spots in our lawn. The initial work was done last year and we have been extremely pleased with the outcome. Brent Alford’s follow up on our project has been outstanding. If there is a freeze warning, you can bet there will be a text message reminding us of what action to take for our plantings. We love that Brent provides us with seasonal color plantings and they always thrive! Neighbors have commented on how lovely our yard looks…it is all Brent’s work.

We hired Alford Landscaping for phase 1 of a multi-phase front yard and backyard overhaul. Brent, the owner, was personally involved each step of the way.

For this phase, we focused on respond flower beds, adding trees, adding lighting, and prepping both yards for an improved lawn in the spring. We iterated with Brent for about a month between doing the scope I just described versus doing more work upfront, including a potential patio redo. Brent was very helpful in thinking through the process, the order in which things should proceed, and advising us on cost so that way we stay within our target budget.

We enjoyed working with Brent so much that we have hired him to do our monthly service, and look forward to more projects with him in the future.

We couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of work and fair prices from Alford’s landscaping. His crew did an excellent job and we love the great tree specimens that Brent picked out. Our neighbors appreciate the job and have asked for his contact information. I did ask to have a tree moved 12” from where it had first been placed and it was done the next morning with no hesitation. Brent has a great eye, but also listens to his customer.

We needed our front flower beds re-planted but were dreading the project. We looked at the Alford website and around the neighborhood, and told Brent what we liked. We also told him what type of plants we liked. He took over and purchased the plants, had a drip system installed, added stone edging, and planted the beds. We loved it! Walkers stopped and asked for plant names. Plus, the Alford team provides maintenance and seasonal plantings. We might do the backyard next year!!
