We are professionals and very busy, however, like every other home owner, we have been dreaming about our backyard landscape, and hired AMS to do the design for us.
What a joke this business is! We signed a contract with them and 6 months into the project we still have no design, no vision, no ideas, only some “chicken scratch” drawings of only one small section of our backyard on a piece of paper. This. Is. It.

Delays after delays, unkept promises after unkept promises, no customer service, arrogant, and unreliable. Provided a “modern” “design” with straight lines for a home built in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. When we mentioned to him the modern lines in his chicken scratch design didn’t match our home’s architectural style, he told us he would redo the “design” and come up with a different one that would match our home, however weeks and months went by without any new or revised design. During this time we kept emailing, texting, hoping….

Drew did not take into consideration our notes, design ideas, and scope of work, came to the meetings unprepared, and kept proposing things that were conflicting with what we have been talking to him about since the beginning.

We also asked multiple times for an integrated design of the whole property, to understand how architectural elements were created for each zone; this was promised to us when we signed the contract, but it was never delivered.

We had to do a lot of work ourselves, struggling to understand setbacks and architectural design elements.
Possibly the worst experience ever.

When we raised these issues with AMS and asked what could be done in order to move the project forward, HE SIMPLY ABANDONED OUR PROJECT and withdrew from the contract, after wasting six months of our life.

To top it off, he works with CADAlytics for initial plot plan and measurements. This company is NOT LICENSED to do land survey and Robin the owner has one of the worst attitudes we have ever seen in this industry. Her plot plans only included some scribbly lines in AutoCAD but NO ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS and when we allowed her back on our property only with the understanding she would actually remeasure and provide us with the measurements, she refused to give us the measurements even after multiple emails and texts.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Drew at AMS Landscape Design Studios and could not be happier! From the first meeting to the final design, Drew was friendly, professional, transparent, responsive and thorough. Our property had some design challenges and an even more challenging HOA and Drew turned our vague notions of what we wanted into a cohesive, comprehensive design that exceeded our expectations. Drew’s design insight, attention to detail, and tremendous amount of experience and expertise made the whole process seamless. We are in the process of building it now and it is so exciting to see this amazing space come to life!

AMS Landscape and Design are exceptional. I contracted with Drew to completely redo our outdoor landscaping. Drew visited our home a few times and formed ideas that would best utilize our space and ensure that the overall design fits with our home style and views from within our home. We went through several revisions and settled on a design that has met and exceeded all of our expectations. The plans are extremely detailed and the flow and overall layout will ensure our enjoyment for years to come. Once completed, our plan submission to our HOA was quickly approved.

Drew and his team are super helpful and super responsive to any questions I had throughout my design process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who would like a timely response, organized work flow and beautiful design.

Drew, from AMS Landscape Design Studios, turned our backyard into a dream come true. He took into account everything we asked for and brought the vision to life with a great eye for detail. The plans that we submitted to our association were approved on our first submission. During the construction phase, we opted to add a fire pit that was not part of the original design, and Drew promptly sent us the plans for it, and it was approved on the same day by our HOA. He helped us bid the project to different landscape construction companies and made the process go smoothly. Drew was in regular communication with us and the construction company throughout the entire project and was always available for any questions along the way. I am so happy that we went with AMS Landscape Design Studios, and I highly recommend Drew for a beautiful design and a seamless process.

Drew is a terrifically talented landscape designer. I found him on Houzz based on the beautiful gallery of finished projects displayed. He is very patient, listens well, and incorporates his clients ideas into his finished product. Drew is meticulous – every detail matters.
