I hired AZ Elite Pools to resurface my pool, add an auto fill line, new pop ups and a couple of umbrella stands. I hadn’t utilized the current pop ups in the pool for years because I had always found them to be unreliable in cleaning the pool. In speaking with Brandon, the owner of the company, he assured me that the new pop ups now being installed were great and would thoroughly clean the pool. I agreed to have new ones installed based on him convincing me of how far they had come.
Work began on my pool on March 25th of this year. The pool was emptied and chipped out. I was not advised at that time that the supplies needed for my pool were unavailable and it would be a couple of weeks for the work to continue. Because I have two small dogs I never would have had them empty the pool until the supplies were available. A couple weeks went by with no update from the company despite my texts and messages. A couple months went by with very little communication from Brandon. Making a very long frustrating story short, my pool was finally completed in July. I understand during this post Covid period that supplies in many areas are limited. I could have lived with that but what was frustrating and unprofessional was the lack of communication. I begged Brandon to let me know ahead of time if someone would be coming to the house to do some work. Rarely did I get a heads up. Someone would just suddenly be in my yard doing some work. If I was told someone would be here at a particular time, they never were. They would either get here very late in the day or during the next few days. Again, no communication. I wasn’t kept informed of any of the steps being taken or any delays.
When they were working in my yard, the crew would leave their water and soda bottles, lunch containers and one time beer bottles in the alley. My dogs were eating the cigarette butts they left in my yard. I cleaned those things up but they also left quite a bit of cement and wood that I couldn’t clean up. Again I requested the alley be cleaned up several times but it never was until the pool was recently completed.
When the work was finally done, my pool was left filthy. I called and asked that someone come by to explain this new system to me and to clean the pool. They finally did come but it was at least seven to ten days after completion.
Obviously this was a nightmare of an experience that I am still dealing with. The pops ups DO NOT clean as I was told they would. Brandon first it was that my filter wasn’t properly working, then it was that there was a clog in a line. None of that is true. They just don’t do a good job. I spent a good deal of money on them and they do not work well at all.
My pool does look good when I’m able to see through the dirt, which so far hasn’t been very often.
