5 stars isn’t enough for the incredible job that Mike did with my backyard. I use the word “backyard” on purpose because Mike does so much more than just pools.
About 4 years ago we ended up hiring Mike after interviewing 3 total companies. We felt most comfortable with Mike, and it’s a decision that paid off.
Let’s just say we weren’t the easiest clients to work with. Not that we were ever rude, but we definitely didn’t make it easy for Mike either. Throughout all of the indecision and uncertainty with materials and design, Mike was there for us. With every last minute design change, (the addition of a fire pit!), Mike was patient with us. And when we ended up having Mike completely tear up the newly laid stamped cement he’d just completed and pour an entirely new decking, (due to no fault of his own. We had a previous patio that was there. We were asking Mike to do the impossible, and trying to save a few bucks, by hoping he could match the color of 10 year old cement with the new decking. Didn’t work. We had Mike tear it ALL out and star over.), he was amazingingly calm and did the re-pouring of the stamped cement while only charging us his cost.
Here’s the best thing about my experience with Mike. The guy came in on budget, and completed the job ONE MONTH EARLY!
To top things off, the valve on the firepit Mike put in for me went bad last year. This was almost 3 years past the completion of the job. Where most guys would have just told me to call a plumber, Mike stepped up and sent a guy out to fix it. Over a 3 day period of time his worker came out and had to tear up a portion of the firepit to get to the valve, replace it, reconstruct the firepit to it’s original form, and replace all of the rocks and glass as it was, and Mike didn’t charge me a dime. He told me that he wanted to make me happy with his work.
Mission accomplished Mike!
If anyone is considering having a pool installed you’d be a fool if you didn’t use Mike. The guy is simply the best at his craft.
Plus he’s a pretty cool dude, even for a Vikings fan.
