Custom Pools and Landscapes helped transform our backyard into a resort-like attraction. Our backyard is oddly shaped (triangular), still Fuller was able to come up with a design that incorporated a pool, spa, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, covered deck, and pool house. Fuller was great at integrating his design with our existing home and landscape features (we had a pond and several large boulders). Jim and his crew worked tirelessly to make it a reality. As with any construction, you realize small changes you want to make along the way. Jim and Fuller were both great at being flexible and helping identify and make these improvements. The end result is breathtaking. The stonework is incredible. We love the pool area and the paver deck. Our outdoor kitchen is beautiful and so functional. It’s better than we ever imagined. We love it – wouldn’t change anything. We never used to go outside. Now we live out there!

Would highly recommend. They are not the cheapest option, but the end result is high quality. You get what you pay for.

Custom Pools and Landsacpes of Richmond completed a job for me by completely redesigning my front walkway and stoop. Fuller has great vision for how to plan a design to fit a specific space and is great about incorporating your tastes and style to make it all work and look beautiful. Jim and Fuller absolutely know what they are doing and I enjoy working with them. I can’t wait to see what they do for my front landscaping project this spring!

The team at Custom Pools and Landscapes of Richmond helped us design and build a raised bluestone terrace with a brick fire pit! It was a great use of space and the design was a nice complement to the house. The products used were good quality and the team installing was timely and experienced. We were impressed with the quick pace of the project even with the bad weather!Our family is Loving the new entertaining and relaxing outdoor room they have created for us!

Beware of this contractor. Jim and Fuller did a significant landscape project on our property. The project involved earth and tree removal, regrading, driveway creation, retaining walls with a terrace and sod/plant installation with irrigation. The stone work and retaining walls were done well. After that, not so great. We have had issues with proper drainage of our yard and in other areas, significant erosion issues. We paid top dollar for an irrigation system that we later learned had, in some areas, been connected to the old, original irrigation system. There were endless leaks, blown valves and drainage issues. Finally, I hired a specialized irrigation company that thoroughly investigated and felt that the entire system, that was less than a year old, needed replaced if I wanted it to be right. I explained this to Jim and he said “Sounds like I owe you some money.” We agreed on the amount he owed us and he paid us half of it, promising the other half by the end of the year. He still has not refunded our money. That was two years ago despite multiple requests to stand by his word.
