Estrada recently completed our new pool’s landscaping project. The paving stone pool deck turned out fabulously. The highlight features include the boulder steps, pool raised bond beam with waterfall, and a circular spa allowing for an overflow waterfall feature for added beauty. The crew were professional and paid serious attention to the minute details required for this project. We are extremely delighted with their work.

I have 30 yrs experience and acted as GC for our new home while Steve Estrada handled the pool design, pool construction, pool deck, and retaining walls. Steve’s price was by far the best and his design ideas were exactly what I wanted. He is honest and a great guy to work with. He’s not looking to make money by providing what turns out to be an incomplete estimate then issuing change orders once project is started. Steve also ended up providing his expertise and personnel to some inside house projects that turned out to be too complicated for some of the trademen. He was always happy to help and provide ideas. He’s just a good honest experienced guy. Shocker — they do still exist.
In March of 2010, we reached out to Estrada Design Build to help us create an outdoor living space. Not only did Estrada take the time to understand our personal needs prior to the start of the project, but John Vasiliou’s knowledge and understanding of landscape architecture and design was beyond anything we might have imagined. His ability to take a raw area and create a “vision” to transform it into a personal refuge was a marvel. John took the time to listen to us, offer sage advice on what would/would not work and showed extreme patience during design until we had a finished plan that encompassed our desires. He researched and provided to us material samples that were high in quality while continuing to maintain the confines of our budget.
We were amazed at how promptly and efficiently the Estrada construction crew handled all phases of the project from demolition of our existing patio to the punch list completion. Not only was it common for them to work long hours, but the jobsite was always kept safe and clean. Construction debris was removed and the street and driveway were swept daily. The crew went above and beyond their contractual obligations by volunteering to assist us with some personal planting. Our total satisfaction with their work was the primary goal. Any minor construction changes we made along the way were met with complete understanding. The crew’s ability to perform many different facets of construction from masonry to electrical work truly show talent. Our new patio, fireplace and fish pond are perfect. The pergola was beautifully constructed and adds an architectural element that really draws the eye. Many of our neighbors have stopped by to inquire of the builder, admire our finished product and pick up an Estrada business card. Our yard has beyond doubt become a showpiece of magazine quality!
Most impressive, however, was the professionalism in handling the administrative side of the project. Steven Estrada was in constant communication with us to keep us informed of the various project phases. Emails and phone calls were a daily event to let us know what work was to be performed, when we might expect material delivery and at what phase we were with our progress payments. Many small items were done as a courtesy completely without charge. Ultimately, upon seeing the initial quality and beauty of Estrada’s work, it inspired us to make several additions to our initial contract. At all times, Steve remained on top of the paperwork by providing us with updated documentation. Additionally, it was primary for him to visit the jobsite almost daily to insure our absolute satisfaction.
We continue to use Estrada for maintenance and landscaping needs. If quality and beauty are important to you, then we would highly recommend the hiring of Estrada Design/Build, Inc.
Recently I had to fortune to engage Mario and his gang to pour a slab for a garage. It proved to be very problematic but they all worked diligently and without complaint. Mario was able to guide, advise and explain throughout the process. He takes great pride in his work and is determined to deliver a first class result. After the slab was done we further employed Estrada to pave a large patio area and with the same result. A quality finish and attention to detail seldom found today. Very happy.
Estrada, Inc. did a fantastic job on our pool. We met with Steve and gave him some of our wishes….he gave us some suggestions and comments and took off running with our needs. His staff was very mannerly and respectful. Steve was available when the pool opened and is still assisting us with minor details related to the functions of the pool (as we are a first time pool owner). I would HIGHLY recommend Estrada, Inc. We recently had the pleasure of completing a pool/patio/fireplace project with Estrada Inc.. From the beginning, we were very impressed with owner Stephen Estrada’s innate understanding of what we were trying to accomplish, his knowledge about how to handle the steep terrain in our yard, and his willingness to help us keep the project within our budget. The Estrada team took a mere two weeks to transform our sloped side-yard into a resort-like paradise. They constructed a patio flanked by a gorgeous stone fireplace, and a stone encased spa/pool with a waterfall. This team was extremely hard-working, and committed to creating a top-notch product. They were also quite courteous, and considerate of our home, always leaving the job site neat and orderly. We were also extremely pleased with the high level of customer service we received. Stephen Estrada made us a priority as a customer, and was always available to answer questions as we moved through the project. He was also on the job site on a daily basis. Stephen was also very helpful in coordinating the job with the pool company we had contracted, and helped bridge communication gaps with them. We have received numerous compliments on our beautiful project, and would not hesitate to recommend Estrada Inc. to anyone looking for a quality stone contractor- they are amazing!
We had our pool renovated 3.5 years ago by this company. Originally, I was pleased, but over these 3 years we have had one issue after another that this company has not been able to or will not address, consistently blaming pool opening/closing on the problems. From the first opening after the renovation, the new pool system would not prime, and this continued such that we have to leave our pool system running 24×7. They attempted to address this problem by digging a hole in the lawn to put more check valves on the pipes, and installed a big cover over this in the middle of the lawn. what was supposed to be a more efficient and quieter system (recommended by this company) has cost us much more and is annoyingly loud. One skimmer heaved upwards over the first year, and has a leak, with the coping now impacted (hollow). Two intakes the company installed for a new waterfall have also heaved with concrete/pebbletec material missing so now there is a huge gap in the pool wall. We’ve had three other companies come out to assess the issues and all have said, “this was done wrong” and pool closings/openings would not have caused these issues. We now are looking at additional costs to make this right. Be careful, a landscaper does not make a pool builder, we’ve learned the hard way.
OUR SITUATION: We had a bad erosion problem around our pool. The previous homeowner did not install proper drainage. It caused severe cracking of the coping and concrete. Visually, it looked terrible and we were embarrassed to have guests. We also hated the existing pavers and concrete, but our budget wasn’t enough to complete the entire back patio, etc.
SOLUTION: Fortunately we found Stephen Estrada. He worked patiently with us, over three different estimates with options, and we could not be more delighted with the result. He helped us select all of the materials, met with my wife at the stone store to see samples, and met all of our time lines without exception, within the agreed upon budget. Stephen’s communication was always professional, thoughtful and frequent. He answered our questions and concerns as if it was his own property. And we enjoyed his crew– they worked long and hard, cleaned up after themselves, were always polite and respected our space, in addition to being true craftsmen.
RESULT: Estrada Inc. correctly fixed our drainage problem, installed all new coping, fixed tiles, and replaced half of our back patio, beyond our pool, with a new collection of permanent color pavers that look fantastic with our brick home. Our back porch, pool, patio and deck area is now the most beautiful part of our home and we are proud to entertain guests again. We are planning to complete the rest of the project next year, and will definitely hire Estrada Inc. again.
If there were 10 stars, that’s how I would rate Estrada Inc. Truly I can’t say enough about this company. Steve Estrada has created an oasis in our back yard – pavers for our pool decking, stone fireplace, and landscaping lighting, plantings and mulch. He saw our project through each phase of the pool project to be sure our pool contractor and subs were on task. The quality of work is exceptional and his pricing is competitive and fair. Steve’s worth ethic is impeccable and he operates with great integrity. We have already recommended Estrada Inc. to many others and look forward to working with Estrada Inc for our future landscaping and decking needs.
