Our project took more than eight weeks. Four weeks was the estimate. There were no less than two straight weeks of beautiful weather where not a single soul from Heintz was on our property completing our project. After the pool and decking were poured we were left with an empty shell (at a depth of 7’) in our backyard for three or four weeks. Aside from collecting and stagnating water, the empty concrete shell presented a safety issue. We do have one area of the pool that wasn’t sprayed adequately and is without proper coverage (at a wall seam). Prior to filling our pool I advised Heintz of the issue and it was not repaired. As of this writing it has yet to be repaired (Nov 2020). A warranty is great until you can’t get someone to do the warranty work. After our pool was finished and filled, we waited more than three weeks for final grading to take place.
Schedules are not communicated, and it’s exceedingly difficult to get anyone on the phone. The owner is absent from the process even when there is a serious issue/concern – unless you’re getting an invoice. Damage was done to the interior of our home as they worked to access our electrical panel. Heintz advised it would be submitted to their liability insurer – this was not resolved until the Spring of 2020.
