The decision was not made quickly; we talked about pools, created spreadsheets, and spoke to neighbors…then we contacted four different companies for pool services. We were informed that Superior was likely to cost the highest, however, when I added each component to the spreadsheet (the equipment to be utilized,) everything was on an inferior quality to the other companies.
We discovered that Superior does not have a large number of subcontractors, it played a role in our choice.
Each step of the process was completed on time, neatly cleaned up and Superior exceeded our expectations. to exceed our expectations. We could not be more pleased or think that our choice wasn’t the best decision.

My wife and I had a pool built two years ago and we’re so glad we chose Superior Pools. Constructing a pool is one of the few things one does that is literally cast in concrete. This was our first pool so we were very careful selecting the design, the deck material, the pool equipment, and most importantly, the builder.

After interviewing a number of pool builders, we realized there are important characteristics that distinguish one from another. Some builders don’t provide 3D drawings, for example, claiming such diagrams couldn’t be used for construction purposes. Turns out, not true; they just didn’t want to buy the pool software and associated graphics computers, both of which are quite expensive. Other pool builders told us they don’t make equipment warranty claims on the customer’s behalf. One builder told us not to worry, they would tell us exactly what to say so the warranty claim wouldn’t be denied by the manufacturer. Another pool builder was able to produce 3D drawings but didn’t want to spend the time needed to finalize the design. We later learned he got in trouble with the County for lying about pool permits.

We discovered most pool builders use sub-contractors, which at first, seemed fine. Turns out sub-contractors are independent and can be difficult to schedule, resulting in construction delays. We have a neighbor who used a pool builder who had no in-house staff at all. His subs took over a year to complete the job. Afterwards, that builder didn’t answer the phone when it came to service.

My wife and I learned that travertine distributors don’t guarantee quality and color, often delivering broken pieces or pavers that don’t look like the showroom samples. Most of the pool builders we contacted warned us they would not be responsible for travertine; we had to accept it as delivered and pay for replacements if the recommended extra 10% wasn’t sufficient. Nor would they be responsible for travertine settling after a few years, as it typically does in Florida; we would have to pay for it to be reset when the time came. The more questions we asked, the more we realized we had concerns one typically doesn’t come upon until after the contract is signed, which of course is too late.

We happened upon Superior Pools in the Pool and Spa News annual list of top 50 pool builders nationwide and learned they were ranked #1 in customer service. We met with the owner, Jon Krawczyk. He has old school values – integrity, commitment, honesty, personal relationships. When we expressed our travertine concerns to Jon, he replied “Don’t worry. If it isn’t what it’s supposed to be, I’ll make it right, at my expense”. “I’ll treat you as if I were building my own pool”, Jon told us. And he did.

Our pool consultant, Ben, worked with us in finalizing the design. There were many iterations which were easy to conceptualize with the 3D color drawings. Using Ben’s computer, we were able to look at our future pool and deck from many different angles. Ben was able to show us in real time how each change looked. He not only had this state-of-the art technology at his disposal, he gave us as much of his time as we needed; a benefit not provided by his competitors. The end result was a beautiful pool, spa, and sun shelf that came out exactly the way we wanted.

Our pool was completed in four weeks, as promised. Having their own crews on staff allowed the various construction phases to be scheduled with no delays, a feat I understand that isn’t commonplace in the industry. Superior Pools maintains a good working relationship with County building departments and expeditiously scheduled the various required inspections, all of which passed without a hitch. We had several issues during the first two years, and Superior Pools promptly made repairs and dealt directly with equipment manufacturers on warranty claims. They were the only builder that took responsibility for travertine, replacing all unsatisfactory pavers at no additional cost to the customer. When the travertine pavers later settled, as anticipated, they reset them, replaced the ones that cracked, and power washed the deck, again without additional expense.

Jon stands by his work and wants his customers to be happy. Jon’s sales, construction, and maintenance staff are a reflection of his values. They went out of their way to provide excellent customer service. Superior Pools is not the low-cost builder. In fact, they’re more expensive than their competitors, BUT the integrity and exemplary support exhibited to us was well worth it. We consider it an investment that pays handsome dividends.

Jon likes to make a deal with a handshake. When you get to that point, you’ll know you made the right decision.

The pool we built with Superior was everything building an apartment with Lennar was not. Dani was awe-inspiring in educating us about building in Florida and helping us with creating the pool we had always wanted. The construction and program management was amazing. We were aware of every week when something was about to happen , and the work and the materials were top-quality. Chris was extremely helpful in assisting us to understand the reasons behind how things were completed. Absolute Aluminum build a top quality enclosure. Then Josh was extremely helpful in opening the pool and informing us on operation and maintenance. We are absolutely thrilled with our pool!

We chose Superior Pool based on their reputation for providing a top quality product, excellent customer service, and a guarantee of 40 days project completion from beginning to the end. Superior Pool exceeded our expectations in all those areas. Additionally, the majority of the Superior’s employees are employed and we weren’t looking for pool companies which subcontract almost everything. We are extremely pleased with our spa, pool and lanai. It is an amazing neighborhood. The service is top-notch and the staff were responsive and professional, and they were able to get the task done in less than 40 days. The entire crew was like well-oiled machines . The team members work well together and we were awestruck by the professionalism that was displayed by the workers who were friendly and professional. Dani was the designer. She was a pleasure to work with and had excellent designs and was able to follow the project from beginning to the end. When I made the decision to build an outdoor pool, I talked with three Fort Myers area pool builders and two of them attempted at “hard shut” me with their fast-talking and up-selling, with poor listening skills and communication.

When I met with Spencer He was listening to my needs, asked me good questions, and provided feedback that was merely education to help me make informed decisions. After we had agreed on the style and cost I was not hesitant to sign. From start to finish the pool took about 70 days, and the timeframe was in sync with the expectations that were established. In addition, I had an extremely busy travel schedule during this time, and Mike could not be more accommodating to communications, photos and even answering my questions promptly.

We picked Superior Pools to build our pool due to their excellent reviews and a good reputation. They also made us feel at ease on the first meeting. We are extremely satisfied with the service we received. We received everything we wanted without any surprises.
This is the first time that we’ve owned a pool , and we really did not know how to go about it. We knew that going into the process that we had a specific amount to spend and were operating an extremely tight budget. We would had thought about more the water features and what the approximate monthly cost could be for weekly maintenance.
One of my favorite aspects of the process was towards the end of the process when everything began to blend using the colors we’d selected. Michael Sowerby is an extremely skilled person when it comes to designing our pool and offering suggestions to make the pool as beautiful as it could be. Michael Sowerby doesn’t make you feel pressured and gives informed suggestions throughout the design process.
We were very pleased by Daniel Manzano. His understanding of how our pool functions and how it should function and also describing the rules and regulations to keep our pool clean were extremely helpful. From beginning to end, the entire process was easy and clearly explained. There were very few issues throughout the whole process. We had constructed an outdoor pool with another company in our previous home and chose to go with Superior this time because of the high quality of work as well as all the fantastic suggestions we came across. We are thrilled with the outcome. It’s the perfect for our home that we will never leave. SuperIor was the contractor who was brought in to correct what two local so called pool contractors had done wrong. Both were fired , and they were paid for our mistakes. Superior pools are absolutely stunning Their quality of construction is incredible. From Danielle’s concept to ensure that we maximised space, to the decking and tile crews all of it was flawless. Larry and Anthony made sure that any concerns we had were addressed promptly and kept us informed throughout the entire process. The staff is always ready to assist, such as Pat who handles their initial set-ups and is available when a question is asked , even after hours. The pool cleaners, such as DeSean as well as Corey are helpful and respond to any questions they have while on site.
I would suggest anyone consider them for pricing because they were similar in cost to other companies, but provided superior equipment and materials than their rivals. Our pool was constructed during one of the worst times , with covid19 and superior, yet they completed the work in time, and we had our pool ready within 40 days.

We are our first time buying a swimming pool and are satisfied with the choice we made from Superior Pools. From our first meeting with Spencer Brandt all of our interactions with Superior were professional , and everyone was pleased to assist the design process, from selecting colors and materials, all the way to the building. We were pleased to discover that the family-owned firm has its origins within Fort Myers and are sensitive to the needs of their clients. This was crucial for us since we had to travel back to Ohio prior to the construction started and we did not travel back to Florida till the whole construction was complete. Through the entire process, Spencer kept in close contact with us and responded to any questions we had quickly in the knowledge that we’d be nervous. Our interactions with Spencer and his staff as well as team has been great! We reached out to Superior Pools back in Feb/2019 and Spencer jumped on the ball to supply us with an amazing design that could meet our preferences and requirements. The pool took two months to build and the cost was higher than we planned to pay, however the quality of the material, equipment warranties, returned emails/texts as well as phone calls and other extras exceeded our expectations.
When you are deciding on the features and additional’s you want such as hot tubs, water features, etc…my suggestion is to purchase the best of them. Being new to the SW FL area we were nervous about committing to such a large scale project, but the pros at Superior walked us through the process, reducing our stress levels and ensuring that things went smooth. We had heard horror stories about subcontractors not showing up and pool projects taking months to complete. Not an issue with Superior! Our pool construction started July 2 with scraping the ground and it was filled it with water on August 4. That’s unbelievably fast and professional service! We are pleased with everything about our new backyard oasis and the entire team at Superior has been pleasant to work with, addressing any concerns we have promptly and professionally. I highly recommend Superior Pools to anyone looking to have a superior product installed with a no-stress installation process. We received no less than 3 bids on the project and while we didn’t go with the least expensive we did go with the best! If we ever have another pool done I will definitely have Superior as my builder. Dani was fantastic in the designing process, helping me make decisions as well as getting the proper docs to my HOA for prompt approval.

The best of the best! Seth was great showing us ideas for our new pool. We picked out high quality materials and he explained each one, from the tile to the lighting. My husband and I watched videos of Superior installing other pools, we were ready. Installation started and the whole neighborhood was watching. Clean, conscientious and hard working were the employees. They all wore Superior pool shirts and made sure they cleaned after themselves (dirt, water mugs ect) everyday. Was so much fun watching.
Seth gave us a 30 day goal. We were swimming in 30 days. The lighting at night is beautiful. Josh was our next guy and he helped educate us about the pool. He was there weekly until we were ready. Then hubby broke his leg playing hockey. Josh came a few more weeks afterwards for free just to help out.
We swim in the pool everyday. Kids and grandkids love to swim. Our retriever loves it too and the basket with the sock keeps the pool dog hair free. We love our pool!
Had to edit and add one more thing. Absolute Aluminum works hand in hand with Superior pools and we got one of the finest state of the art pool cages. Screen is bug free. Doors are high quality with special key locks. Absolute even installed a large doggy door. All up in 2 days. The inspector of the screen lanai was meticulous. He went through every screw to make sure it was tight and sure. Needless to say we live out by our pool.
