We had major damage to our 8 year old fiberglass pool after flooding rains from TS Hermine and Hurricane Matthew. The original fill around the pool was done with sand. Once the massive amounts of rain infiltrated the sand, it liquified and shifted causing the pool sides to bulge and also broke the supply line fittings. We were not sure the pool could be repaired. We contacted Mike at Catalina and he very quickly came up with a well thought out plan for the major repairs that included removal of conrete decking, excavation of old fill, use of gravel for a stable fill material, new piping, new concrete, and a drainage system. Mike was very easy to work with and did a great job of keeping us informed at every step and was very willing to discuss the state of the art repair techniques he used and to incorporate things we wanted to add. Mike and his crew always kept us appraised of the schedule and were careful to be as unobtrusive as possible to the surrounding landscape. The project came in on time and under budget. Mike believes in getting the job done right. We are looking forward to using our ‘new’ pool for many years to come. Thanks for a job well done!
