Garden Pros is hands down one of the best contractors we’ve ever worked with. This is our second newly built home and we’ve worked with a number of them but this is probably one of the best experiences we’ve had. They were recommended to us by some of our neighbors and friends, and after seeing a few of their projects, we knew they were at the top of our list. Their level of craftsmanship and attention to detail was impeccable.

Our project included front and back hardscape/landscape, a pool and spa, sunken fire pit with seating area, a casita with an outdoor bathroom and bbq area. This was a pretty big project for us, so we were definitely looking for a company that’s professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. After meeting Eloy for the first time, we felt confident that he would be able to execute what we envisioned for our landscaping.

Eloy and his crew made the entire process so easy. They helped us every step of the way from picking out materials and plants to dealing with the city and HOA. As busy as they are, they were constantly in communication with us. Eloy was always checking on the project, and he would often keep us updated on the project. Liz was very helpful with some of the city issues that we had, and she was also very helpful with securing some of the materials that we wanted. We really appreciate his crew. They were always so hard working and dedicated.

Overall, our project went smoothly thanks to Eloy, Liz, and Garden Pros staff. We are completely satisfied with how the project turned out, and we would highly recommend them! If you want a company that’s trustworthy and does things the right way, this is it!

Generally speaking, I do not write reviews online. In fact, I believe this is my first ever review. I’ve always been a word of mouth recommendation type of person, never hesitating to recommend my favored businesses when asked. As most people in my circle are not planning any pool projects, i did not want my experiences with Garden Pros to go unshared.

When we initiated our pool project, I leaned heavily on the recommendation of my designer, Fred, who runs Scancelli Landscapes (can’t recommend him enough!). I asked Fred for his professional opinion on which contractor he recommended for our project. I knew Fred had overseen countless projects of varying scopes/complexities and costs, and had likely seen the good, the bad, and the ugly from a variety of construction companies. I read Fred my short list based on prior research, which included Garden Pros. Without question, Fred recommended I call Eloy at Garden Pros, adding that when he had questions relating to turning his designs into realities, he always contacted Eloy for technical advice on the construction side of things.

Fred stated Eloy was an absolute professional with exceptional communication skills and an attention for the details, two things that were critical to me. Fred added that Eloy and his crew didn’t cut corners on his projects, mentioning that if something wasn’t to the design specs or to my standards, Eloy would make it right. That attitude of straightforwardness and transparency were the qualities I wanted in my contractor.

Once Fred’s design was complete, I requested bids from a few competitors and just wasn’t impressed. Some quotes were high, some were low, but I just never made the connection I was looking for to initiate such a project with any other pool builders. In the back of my mind I always reminded myself of a very true statement, “You get what you pay for,” recognizing that trust outweighed strictly financial considerations.

When I took a meeting with Eloy after speaking with Liz on the phone, I immediately knew Garden Pros would be building my pool. I said to myself that if I couldnt do it based on the quote then I would just save up and initiate the project months or years later. My confidence in Eloy and Liz after those early calls and meetings was what pushed me to sign the contract and initiate the project. I spent more than I planned, but have zero buyer’s remorse based on the quality product Garden Pros delivered.

Months later, I have a brand new pool that looks identical to what Fred designed. It’s everything that I could have imagined and was done with almost zero headaches. Of course there are little hurdles that come with projects such as these (mostly mother nature and HOA/city issues), but never once did I second guess my decision to go with Garden Pros.

Eloy’s crew showed up early and worked hard each and every day. Our project had almost no stagnation, which seems to be a common occurrence for most contractors. If there was a day or days where we would be waiting for something, Eloy would communicate and let me know what was going on. When I had a concern, Eloy would address it immediately and handle things in a timely manner. That communication in my opinion is almost unparalleled in the contractor community!

Eloy’s attention to detail on the project was actually above my standards (which are pretty high). Eloy caught things before they were even on my radar. If i saw something that needed to have a second look Eloy addressed it and handled it without question. Eloy knew my objectives with the backyard and added a couple features that I had not thought of and were not on the plans. I told Eloy I would pay for them, knowing there was labor and materials involved, understanding he was trying to run a business and make payroll. Eloy said the guys were on site anyway and the materials were on hand, so it wasnt an issue. Those little things exemplified the whole project, as neither Eloy or Liz ever tried to nickle, dime, and penny me, which I appreciate and see as character attributes.

Even as I’m writing this, I’m realizing that this review doesn’t do Garden Pros justice. I’m exceptionally happy with how things turned out and am very glad I leaned on Fred for his recommendation. I’m glad I followed my gut knowing Garden Pros was the right fit for my project after interacting with Eloy and Liz early on. The results are incredible and I’m looking forward to making memories in my pool for years to come.

If you’re on the fence, make a call to Liz and schedule a meeting with Eloy. He’s an exceptional contractor and his crew are locked on. I’m sure they’ll be in demand for years to come but I can tell you that they are worth the wait! If and when it is time to build another pool at a future residence, my first and only call will be to Garden Pros.

Eloy, Liz and the entire Garden Pros Team are phenomenal! We were enthusiatically referred to “the Pros” as my daughter refers to them by our friends who also used them for their landscaping. I now share in that same enthusiasm when I talk to neighbors about how great Eloy and his team are. They truly transformed our dream backyard into reality and they were such a pleasure to deal with that we had smiles on our faces the entire time. Garden Pros is the epitome of professionalism. They were always respectful, punctual, and very fair with us. There work is first rate, they always cleaned up after themselves every day, and most importantly they were trustworthy. Eloy was always only a call or a text away, any issue we had became a nonissue with just one text to Eloy because he took care of everything. Also I think a major thing that sets Garden Pros apart is Eloy is hands on with his projects, you rarely see owners of landscaping companies actually pick up a shovel or get their hands dirty, Eloy is right there with his staff working so he knows exactly what is going on; I have a lot of respect for the type of work ethic Eloy displays.

I would recommend Garden Pros with no reservation, I would give them 100 stars if I could. With our project just about complete we are just so thrilled with the results, it is actually better than we imagined. I know it sounds crazy but i think my daughter will miss seeing “the pros” out there everyday working and you know what, I will miss them too.

I met Eloy in July, 2018 with some great plans, but after dealing with expensive and flaky contractors. A friend was using him for his project and invited me to meet him at the neighbor’s home. What I saw was a very busy, large crew getting things done in a very professional, top quality manner. He quickly jumped in with a comprehensive and reasonable estimate. I immediately hired Garden Pros and I never looked back. We took a drive up to Carpenteria to evaluate some trees at a farm and I really got to learn a lot about this warm, unassuming, incredibly competent man. The project went swiftly and completely with Eloy’s input for minor changes as needed. I like to be involved (I have built 3 custom and 1 semi custom homes in the best neighborhoods in coastal Orange County) and I really learned a lot and had fun with Garden Pro’s in the process. The extensive job (large 1/3 acre yard, pool, separate spa, 3 waterfalls, large fire pit, extensive stone patios and walkways, retaining walls, driveway, BBQ, area, 2 large pergolas, 30-40 large craned trees) was completed within 6 months, and now the family is enjoying our wonderful, beautiful and peaceful yard. But now I miss Eloy! We will have to have them over soon. He and his company Garden Pros are phenomenal and a true gem- I have recommended him to others and they say the same thing. Meanwhile, our neighbors down the street who had started on their project months before us are still at about the halfway point in their construction. You won’t be disappointed; you will be amazed with Eloy and his crew.

Garden Pros is the best decision we made on our new construction home.

We were never solicited by Garden Pros. I’ve never seen a flyer or advertisement. Instead, Garden Pros had already completed a project down the street and it was hard not to appreciate the quality of work, attention to detail, and the manpower as we drove by each day. The final result spoke volumes. This neighbor and two more neighbors who started working with Garden Pros all recommended Eloy without any reservation. When their bid came in the ballpark of the other bidders, it was an easy choice to sign with Garden Pros.

Our project included front and backyard hardscape and landscaping, new driveway, a firepit on a raised deck, 15 foot long water wall, bbq island, artificial turf, and a fire-retardant treated wood patio cover.

We are 100% thrilled with the end result and on top of that we had a very pleasant experience through out the entire process. Eloy takes a tremendous amount of pride and care in his team’s workmanship and service. His entire team reflects his high standards and are also just as pleasant to interact with. Even his subcontractors who have worked with him for years speak very highly of Eloy. From the request for proposal to the completion of our project, we never felt uncomfortable, under pressure, or neglected. This was very important to us and something we could not acknowledge until the end. Not surprisingly, Garden Pros has continued onto multiple other nearby homes, including a friend who happily took our bullish endorsement. Even though he remains busy as can be, Eloy still answers my dumb questions and does not hesitate to have his team stop by and check on anything if needed. Months later, Eloy and his team still wave when they drive past our family walking on the sidewalk.

We have no reservations endorsing Garden Pros. We have zero regrets.

We had a very beautiful but complicated landscape design created by an award winning landscape design company (Landcreative, Inc.) that required a top-notched landscape team who can read and execute on this design which had many layers. The design included multiple step-down conversation areas with built-in concrete benches, fireboxes, outdoor TVs, a water-wall, water fountains, outdoor kitchen and entertainment areas. My husband is a contractor, real-estate developer and civil engineer who reviews architectural plans all the time said not many landscape contractors are qualified to read, understand and execute on the plans that Garden Pros has to work off of. Eloy, the owner, is the absolute best of the best. He and his team were here every day until the job was completed. They always cleaned up well after each task and made sure items previously installed were covered to protect it from dust, etc. Their installation was perfect with close attention paid to all the details. We couldn’t be more grateful for their outstanding and attentive work. Even the city inspector who inspected their work at our home highly recommend them. They are the absolute best of the best.

Eloy and his team did an outstanding job on our backyard. We worked with a designer who helped us find Garden Pros and we couldn’t have been happier with all they did. There was never a point where we were told NO or it can’t be done, which other contractors had done. The crew were very good about keeping the job clean and showing up on time. They did an amazing job on all the rock work which was substantial. We had a new covered patio built, a large stained cedar fence installed, new patio pavers, and new of bbq area. All of it turned out wonderful and its great to be able to enjoy it every day.

Garden Pros and Eloy did a fantastic job in remodeling our existing pool and hardscape/landscape. His quote was detailed and professional. His crew was always on time, polite and cleaned up after themselves everyday. Our job included demolishing a 14 foot rock formation that included a slide, jumping rocks and waterfalls. This effort alone took a week. We also added a number of items while the job was ongoing and Eloy simply added these items to the workload with a smile. The invoices were easy to understand and followed the quote. If there was any deviation from the quote, it was explained in detailed. I would highly recommend Garden Pros and Eloy for any job you require.

We hired Garden Pros for the hardscape portion of complete landscape project and home remodel/addition which involved mostly concrete work, and a fire pit and small wood gate. We are very happy with the results, Eloy and his team were prompt and finished on time. There was good communication between our landscape designer and general contractor that made everything flow smooth. After the project, I ran into a knowledgeable neighbor who was impressed on the quality of the concrete work, he said he rarely sees this. I am not surprised this, the results show!
