I’ve done everything I can over the last several months to get Georgia Classic to stand behind their work and even do something as small as calling me back with a plan on fixing my pool but they simply don’t seem to care. Now I have no other option than to at least warn others of what you are potentially signing up for if you choose Georgia Classic. Obviously, there are several 5-star reviews which is why I went with them in the first place but my experience is anything but. There are too many issues to list them all out but here are the highlights:
– It took four months longer than they quoted
– I had to chase them constantly for updates
– I was misquoted by them for one of their contractors which forced me to find my own to finish that portion of the project
– I continue to have issues with their work and they continue months later to blame it on a contractor they no longer work with but still hardly return text messages and have flat out refused to talk to me on the phone except once

Final warning: They will be very polite in almost every interaction which lulls you into thinking they are professional. Maybe they will be for you but they definitely have not been for me.

From the start of our project, the Georgia Classic Pool staff was professional, courteous, highly reponsive and exceeded all of our expectations. With an investment of this size, it’s tough not to be consumed with worries of the small details. But they checked every box and completed our project within their initial timeframe projections. And the craftmanship was just as good as we had hoped for. I couldn’t recommend a firm more emphatically than the folks at Georgia Classic.

Georgia Classic Pool completed our pool project several years ago and we love the pool just as much today as the day they finished it. These guys had a great vision for our project and executed flawlessly. We are very happy with everything they did for us, including our pool, pergola, patio, pathway, fire pit, and landscaping. When you hire Georgia Classic, you are working with the best of the best.

Simply stated, Georgia Classic Pool turned our forest into an oasis! It was truly a pleasure working with the entire team throughout the life of the project. Joe provided the design within days after our initial meet. Danae and Emily provided excellent project management. Ashley and Brandy handled all admin tasks without a glitch. I commend their use of FLOCK for communications and their easy to use invoice and payment method. Vance was always there to resolve issues when they surfaced, and his professional oversight of the operation was outstanding. Each phase was scheduled and executed like clockwork. The work performed for specific functions such as fencing, landscaping, decking, irrigation, etc. was excellent. Check the stonework – the masons fashioned each block in the wall by hand! Same with the decking! The landscaping was installed exactly as Joe designed, with a few improvements also! All-in-all, we are beyond very happy with our pool and beautiful backyard. We would not hesitate to call them back for additional projects. You don’t need to shop beyond Georgia Classic. They ROCK!

We have enjoyed our pool for 6 years now and consider the backyard an oasis for the family. Vance not only does an amazing job making sure they build a quality pool but they guarantee it. Selecting a pool company is such a big decision and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose Georgia Classic Pool! They operate with a high level of professionalism and courtesy. Josh is the pool design master! Emily and Kaila made the selection process a breeze! Georgia Classic Pool truly knows how to take your vision and make it amazing without the stress and uncertainty that usually goes along with big projects. Georgia Classic Pools does an excellent job with their pool designs however their execution has been less than acceptable. It has been over one year since the pool was “completed” and there is still water leaking and punch list items are still not done. Despite multiple and repeated attempts to have the work completed, I have only received an occasional email back and visit filled with empty promises and little progress.

It is clear that they are unorganized or unwilling to complete the work once you have paid all deposits. They would rather move on to the next new build than to finish an existing build. Our pool build started the week of Christmas in 2020, so almost two years later It is beyond disappointing to see GA Classic not standing behind their work and completing our project. I would strongly recommend choosing a pool contractor that is able to complete their work completely and timely.

My journey with GA Classic Pool lasted almost a year and what a journey it was. To see our pool come to life before our eyes was really special and a huge thanks to the GA Classic team for all of their hard work. This past weekend my family and I enjoyed our pool for the first time and it turned out to be everything we hoped it would be. From the design process, to working with our home builder, to having patience through the home building delays (which impacted timing for the pool), to assisting with the fencing, landscaping, and lights, the GA Classic team covered it all. Most importantly, no projects goes perfectly or exactly how its planned and this was true for us as well. Yet, the GA Classic team was responsive, professional, accountable, and reasonable. At every turn, they stepped up and provided excellent client service to address any issues that we ran into. And for this reason, I would HIGHLY recommend working with them. If by any small chance I were to build another pool, I would definitely call them up. A special thank you to Justin (our project manager) who stayed close to the project, over communicated, and made us feel like this was always a priority for him. A thank you to Emily who stepped in a time when Justin wasn’t available. And to Josh who from the beginning helped pull our vision together through the design and delivered a special place for our family and friends to enjoy. Kudos to the GA Classic team and I’m a firm believer that attitude reflects leadership and I would be remiss not to thank Vance as well for supporting his team and our family as we closed out the project. Thanks again GA Classic team for an incredible job well done.

Overall, very happy with the finished project performed by GCP. The design developed by Kalia Muelke was spot on, and the construction and installation process went as well as could be expected allowing for weather and supply chain issues. The work crews, especially Carlos and his stone masons, did a great job installing the hardscapes, and the finished product looks great. Our project manager Justin Kittle was very good with timely communication and follow-up. The support staff in the main office also did a good job with timely communication and updating on the status of various phases of the project.

While the actual look of our pool is 5 star in that it is lovely and we absolutely enjoy it, the process of getting there required more project management on our part than expected. We understand that other projects were in front of ours but our overall experience seems GCP may have taken on far more pools during COVID than they normally do. Granted – we hear the same about many pool companies during this “outdoor focused” time that we are all in and felt lucky to even get a contractor for the job. Paid our original deposit in Fall 2020, our project lost 4 weeks with no work done in sunny May due to Spring wet weather and GCP reportedly getting behind on other client work. Difficult to ever receive a targeted completion date and work-back schedule. Original eta was early May – actual completion around July 4th. Note we made design decisions early and did not make adjustments. Granted, there are supply chain and labor issues but two calls to the Owner were not returned. Heavy reliance on a project app that in the beginning felt very user friendly but did not enable escalations or Owner contact which for an expensive project was something we had hoped for more of. We noticed errors along the way (eg, water features installed in the wrong locations, el dorado stone wall installed in two different patterns, pool equipment concrete pad cracked in half) versus the Company noticing them. GCP did immediately fix the errors upon notice to them. We love our pool and the result is gorgeous. Just our hardest experience of the nearly 20 contractors we have used in the past year for massive renovations on our property. We received a link from GCP to Houzz to conduct this survey.

Last year, Georgia classic pools, built us a beautiful pool and a beautiful decking space. They were great communicators and a year later they still respond in a timely fashion. Kaila is my contact person and she is nothing less than amazing.

We love our pool. We completed construction one year ago and any little issue that arose Vance and Josh were very responsive. From start to end I never had a doubt that our decision to build with Georgia Classic Pool was a good one. In addition, we haven’t had a visitor not be positively impacted by the beauty of the pool.
