Beware using this firm for landscaping design and installation. Mark over-designs in order to get you to pay more. In a year or two, you will need to remove about one third to one half of Mark’s design (which you paid for) because it is growing all over itself. Mark got paid for the cost of the plants and installation, and you will have hire someone else to come in and remove the excess plantings, shrubs and trees that jammed together. Mark has no idea on how to design for the future. He also doesn’t honor his warranty commitments or return phone calls. Stay away!

I highly recommend Legacy Landscape Design to anyone interested in a landscape project. The entire process, from my initial meeting with Mark through completion, was great. Mark was punctual for all of our meetings. He was extremely patient, as we made adjustments to our design and he was responsive to both my husband and me. Just before starting our project, I proposed a couple new ideas for the design for Mark’s reaction. He listened carefully to my ideas and gave sound reasons as to why they were not feasible. He was also good about taking one of my concepts and proposing options that would work for us.
Throughout the project, we were extremely pleased with Wes and his team. They did an excellent job each day with clean up. The project took about three weeks, with rain delays, but the site was always tidy. They were great with attention to detail. On a couple instances, Wes asked for our thoughts before moving forward, allowing for some flexibility on the design.
Mark and Wes did a great job communicating with one another. It was nice that we could have a conversation with one of them and that information was passed on to the other.
My husband and I are so pleased with the landscaping. We look forward to spending time in our back yard enjoying Mark and Wes’ beautiful work.

Mark and his crew did a great job installing two paver walkways and a bin landing for me in October and the project is holding up well.

My wife and I had a great experience with Legacy Landscape Design. Mark worked closely with us to develop an overall landscape redesign for our front, side and back yards. His flexibility has allowed the project to be done in two phases in order to meet our budgetary constraints. This fall, Mark transformed our front and side yards from an overgrown eyesore to a beautiful space including all new plantings, flagstone steps and two flagstone patio areas. Next fall, he will do the back yard, which will include all new plantings, a large flagstone patio and a water feature. Mark did a major front and back yard renovation for us in 2010. This included a new patio, front and back stone stairs, stone retaining wall, an outdoor fireplace and extensive landscaping. Mark is extremely professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. He brings a vision to the project that provides different options based on budget and style. Mark is extremely responsive and immediately answers emails and phone calls. The office staff was also very easy to work with. Tammy provided all quotes (which may need to be changed multiple times based on options) and this was always done in an expedited manner and very professionally.
