Randy clearly has a gift for truly listening to his clients and being extremely thoughtful in his design to make sure it reflects the entire wish list in ways we could not have dreamed. We have a pool in the front courtyard of our home. We knew we wanted to remodel our unique pool space and needed a very special someone to design the right look. Randy and his team not only constructed detailed renderings and specs for the work but also produced a 3D computer animated video of the entire project so we could envision the completed project. They consulted closely with our builder throughout the several-months project, visited the project several times, and worked directly with us on materials choices. When the job was done, they had the whole project professionally photographed and filmed. Candidly, we would have been satisfied just to get Randy’s masterful design (which our friends say has transformed our home into a “Four Seasons resort”). We weren’t expecting the white glove service details on top of that and were truly floored. We just finished our pool project, and I want to say a few words about our designer, Randy Angell. I can talk about him for hours as well as write so many good things, but I’ll try to make the long story short. We have a perfect pool!!!
Our backyard was like a faceless wasteland, and now we cannot stop looking through all of our windows, it’s an amazing view!!! Randy brought the ocean to our backyard. I talked to him in our first meeting about my dreams, and in the second meeting we had an excellent master plan including the pool, spa, kitchen, landscaping, and very small details. Randy has a unique taste and an accurate eye. He is a good colorist and what’s very important is that he knows everything about new materials on the market.
Three years ago we tried to find builders for our pool project, but we were stuck because there were no original ideas for pools. Therefore, we stopped searching, and then I found Randy and his projects online! Thank you Randy and your team! I love you, and we cannot wait to work with you on the next part of our project!

I had met with 6 different designers from very reputable companies before I met Randy (the project/challenge was a pool with some unique features, and an adjoining outdoor kitchen area, in a very small and narrow backyard). I gave each of them the same basic information, and made the same general comments regarding my likes, dislikes, wants and needs (e.g., “I want to open my front door and see something spectacular,” “my children love the sun but the sun is not my friend,” “we need to make a 20-year old and a 10-year old happy with the exact same pool”), and let all of them “run free” to design whatever they saw fit that would hit on everything in my bucket list… I can honestly say that the first 6 designers did not “listen” to me, nor did their designs incorporated “me”, or what I wanted, in any way…. Which brought me to Randy… I met with Randy when I was almost ready to give up on the entire project, hoping that all the good reviews I had read about him on different forums were accurate and honest… Well, they most definitely were! Randy was the only designer who designed something that (1) “wowed” me, (2) was different from every other design I received, and (3) incorporated a myriad of elements which, in one way or another, satisfied each and every one of my bucket list items. Randy was also very conscious about incorporating techniques and features that would keep the project within my budget.

We expect to begin construction of the pool in the very near future, and can’t wait to see Randy’s design come to life! (I’ll be sure to post an updated review when the pool is completed!)

Randy brought a bright shiny new perspective and pool redesign plan to our overall home renovation project. The new and completed pool area is now actually an extended living and entertainment area of our home. Randy’s design was thoughtful, creative and exciting. This made our overall project very satisfying and his work was clearly a capstone project. Both my wife and I found Randy to be approachable, responsive and professional. Randy designed our pool and outdoor space three years ago and when we noticed he’d started his own design company we couldn’t write a review fast enough. Randy Angell Designs created the pool of our dreams. Despite being 1,000 miles away they were able to create a seamless design that fit perfectly with our lot. I had looked at a lot of pool pictures when we decided we were going to put in a pool and kept saving pools that Randy had designed. It was then when i realized i needed to give Randy a call. We utilized Randy Angell to help design our pool and backyard landscaping even though we live in a different state. We provided Randy a little direction in terms of what we were looking for and he exceeded our expectations. Randy’s design utilized the general theme we provided, but elevated the entire project with features we did not know were possible. Our builders and subs were equally impressed with his design. As part of the deliverables, he provided a video of the backyard that we found helpful as well as CAD files our builder needed to execute his design.
