We engaged RAD team to design our outdoor living space including Patio, Outdoor Kitchen, Pool, Spa and Landscaping. They did an exceptional job in creating a design that was far beyond anything we could have imagined. The artistic variety of shapes, colors and textures has created a unique and contemporary outdoor design. We especially love the spa and the outdoor patio design. Not only was the design original, innovative, and breathtakingly beautiful, but Randy’s referral to a top-notch builder (Elite Outdoor Living) and his ability to work seamlessly with the builder to execute his design flawlessly meant that the finished project looked exactly like his renderings. We were amazed to procure the services of such a celebrated, award-winning designer at such a great value. Randy and his team not only constructed detailed renderings and specs for the work but also produced a 3D computer animated video of the entire project so we could envision the completed project. They consulted closely with our builder throughout the several-months project, visited the project several times, and worked directly with us on materials choices. When the job was done, they had the whole project professionally photographed and filmed. Candidly, we would have been satisfied just to get Randy’s masterful design (which our friends say has transformed our home into a “Four Seasons resort”). We weren’t expecting the white glove service details on top of that and were truly floored. We just finished our pool project, and I want to say a few words about our designer, Randy Angell. I can talk about him for hours as well as write so many good things, but I’ll try to make the long story short. We have a perfect pool!!!
Our backyard was like a faceless wasteland, and now we cannot stop looking through all of our windows, it’s an amazing view!!! Randy brought the ocean to our backyard. I talked to him in our first meeting about my dreams, and in the second meeting we had an excellent master plan including the pool, spa, kitchen, landscaping, and very small details. Randy has a unique taste and an accurate eye. He is a good colorist and what’s very important is that he knows everything about new materials on the market.
Three years ago we tried to find builders for our pool project, but we were stuck because there were no original ideas for pools. Therefore, we stopped searching, and then I found Randy and his projects online! Thank you Randy and your team! I love you, and we cannot wait to work with you on the next part of our project!

WOW! We just received our RAD plans and sat down with Randy to over the design. His vision surpassed our expectations. Randy clearly has a gift for truly listening to his clients and being extremely thoughtful in his design to make sure it reflects the entire wish list in ways we could not have dreamed. We hired Randy Angell Designs to design the entire external landscape and hardscape for our new build in Dallas. Randy and his team created an extraordinary design that exceeded our expectations for creativity, insight, functionality, and practicality. Randy does amazing backyard & pool designs. We have a very challenging square backyard and had been through numerous pool vendors to try and get the right design. Coming from the design and construction industry, I deal with design changes from clients frequently. It is extremely rare to get a design 100% right the first time without any revisions. That is why Randy is the best designer in the industry, hands down. He listened to what we wanted and he designed our entire house and pool specifically to our unique lake view lot and nailed it 100% on the first try. We had some difficult elevations to tangle with in order to take advantage of a lake view and Randy captured it exactly how we wanted. Having photographed many high-end interior and exterior spaces over the years, Randy’s designs stood out to me as exceptional in their clean, classic design (with just the right amount of drama) and creative transformation of space. In both cases, he took an uninspired backyard and turned it into a stylish, sophisticated, relaxing living space and recreational oasis.

Randy Angell developed a spectacular outdoor pool and landscape design that blended in beautifully with our home décor, structure and landscape. We live on a lake in Texas and Randy took meticulous care to understand how we would utilize the pool and surrounding space as a part of our day-to-day lives including how we like to entertain guests. Randy and his entire team work with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. They were attentive, listened intently, were easy to work with, and delivered a brilliant design. We love it so much we are now having it bid out for construction. I would definitely use Randy Angell Designs again and would highly recommend them to others.

We had contemplated building a pool for several years. We have minimal space in the backyard to work with, and we had completely transitioned the interior of our house from a ranch style to transitional/modern look. If we were going to spend the money, we had to have a design that we absolutely loved; otherwise, it was not worth the investment. As I researched designs on houzz and various sites, I kept coming across Randy’s designs and we loved all of them. Randy had cracked the code on using space in a very functional manner and creating design elements that are striking without being over the top. We ask Randy to create a design for our space which would include a pool and outdoor kitchen as well as fireplace sitting area. Randy came to our home and spent time discussing how we planned to use the space and really digesting our home design as well as flow and use of the space. He returned back with a set of markup photos that were incredibly detailed and brought his proposal to life. He also created a fly through that he delivered to us via YouTube (Frisco – The Lakes: Modern Swimming Pool and Outdoor Kitchen). The fly through again gave us an unbelievable comfort level that we loved the design and it would fit perfectly in our space. Randy has learned the art of listening first and asking really good questions. He is highly professional and reliable. Randy has a gift, and our family certainly enjoyed the benefit of his design gift and his enjoyable personality.

After building and living in both stock and custom homes I’ve come to the conclusion that most people need a designer. Randy has an unbelievable keen-eye for design and is wonderful to work with, he will listen to your ideas and gently push back when necessary (great bedside manner) to make sure you’re ultimately happy with the end-result, turning your vision (or helping you come up with one) into a reality. He is the consummate professional who I’ve been privileged to have worked with, there are few people I highly recommend, Randy is the exception, I cannot recommend highly enough.
